Slow and Steady Wins the GLP-1 Race!

Started my journey last summer, a 37yo at 216, and now hovering around 186. I've been more or less stuck around the 30-pound mark for about a quarter of a year, so I'm bumping up my dose a bit. Aiming to shed another 15 to reach a healthier weight. I've always had a good amount of muscle, being a former skater, so I'm happy to see some definition returning. Focusing on getting back into regular workouts and eating more nutritious foods. If you're not losing as fast as others, don't stress, just keep at it!

Ha! @Peptide_Set619 I'm curious what your cat did to warrant a 'do not enter' sign on the door! Congrats on your progress!

I'm in the slow-and-steady group too. Averaging about a pound a week, which is what my doctor recommended. I've tried rapid weight loss before, and it was really hard on my body, plus the weight always came back. I just remember the studies on these meds are long-term, not just a few weeks.

Great job! It can be tough when you're not seeing the same results as others. I've been on Ozempic since late '21 and I've lost around 50 pounds. I'm almost in the normal BMI range. Just keep going!

Yep! I'm right there with you. The first time I tried this, it took me like 9 months to drop 30 pounds. Now I'm six weeks in, down about 4 pounds, but I'm staying active and trying my best.

Great job to everyone!

I started at 207 and am now 176. I'm having a hard time seeing the difference in the mirror, but my clothes are definitely looser! I want to get down to 150, or maybe a bit more or less. I'm so happy to be taking control of my body again!

I hit the 200s this morning and never imagined it would happen. Started at 280, lost 80 pounds over nine months. The initial drop was rapid-40 pounds in three months-then progress decelerated substantially. Now I'm halfway toward my target and feeling far more optimistic. That's the approach that works.

had a 5-6 month stall a while back, been on it about 1.5 years, lost third of my weight. just stopped. didn't gain, plateaued. then started again, down another 10%. now at 43% total. didn't change anything to start or stop it. weight just stops sometimes.

Real talk: track your calories on any app for a few weeks. I stalled for months and had no idea it was the calories. Over a year I lost 100 lbs but portion sizes crept up without me noticing. Once I started logging everything, found out I was way over my target. Dropped calories back down and boom, stall over.

clear-headed lately in a way i haven't felt in years. mornings sometimes come with actual okay feelings instead of the same old down. been on this since july for type 2 — hit a wall on 1mg for three months, jumped to 2 five weeks back and weight dropped again, eating smaller.
