For those feeling down watching others race ahead, here's a sprinkle of hope! I'm a 54-year-old woman, 5'4.5". My highest weight was 220, initially weighed 195 back in March '23, and currently stand at 135 (that's a 60-pound drop in about 21 months). Remember, everyone's body responds differently. We each face unique challenges. There is no failure, only quitting. This coming year, let’s all cherish where we are now (this moment is fleeting!), embrace a joyful and serene journey, and achieve our goals at our OWN pace, by simply never giving up! Happy Holidays!

Thank you for sharing and for the encouragement! I'm on a slow and steady path too, losing about a pound each week. Although I know it's healthier in the long run, it is tough not to see rapid progress. You've inspired me!

Wow, congratulations! You look great, and your skin is glowing. I'm also a slow responder. I'm about the same size as you were, but I've only lost around 15 pounds since September!

I've only lost ten pounds in six months, but I’ve dropped 35 pounds over two years. Thanks for the validation and encouragement! You look amazing; congratulations!

Thank you, I really needed to hear this. It's been hard not losing weight as fast as everyone else. But celebrating my 12-pound loss is still amazing. I hope to be where you are soon. Happy Christmas!

This is what I wanted to see... I am a a 5'1" female and I started around 193. After 16 months on sema, I'm at 138. It's all about perspective, seeing others shed pounds so fast. You look wonderful, and I bet you feel it too! Keep at it!

I like losing weight at a slower pace. I don’t want to lose muscle, and I want to minimize loose skin. But it *does* feel slow.

THANK YOU!! For speaking up! I feel like I'm taking the scenic route too and try not to compare myself to others because it can be discouraging.

You look amazing!! Have you had to buy new bras recently? I ask because many of us have a hard time finding the right size during weight loss. I highly recommend taking measurements on this site if you are in need of new sizes! abrathatfits.org I'm a total advocate for that group, haha. I found my perfect size after losing weight. I was wearing the wrong size even before!

Amazing! Yes! Solidarity with my fellow slow and steady losers! There's even a fable about this, and I feel we're more likely to win the long game, with less loose skin, and reinforcing good habits!

I just started this week, and I'm hoping it'll help me lose the weight I've gained over the last decade as I turned 50. You look amazing!

I totally agree! I think slower loss is easier on the body in many ways.

I saw a post where someone lost 40 pounds in 4 months! I'm so jealous... My weight is coming off at a snail's pace, but I hope to get rid of my back fat this summer!
