Slow and steady wins the race?

My experience has been a little different. I've been keeping the dosage super low and the weight is coming off REALLY slowly. But I'm hoping this is the key to keeping it off for good! I was on 0.5mg for maybe 14 months, and I've been at 0.25mg for a few months now. It's been SLOW but I feel like this is the way!

LOVE IT!

Keep those pants forever! Seriously, I lost about 90lbs like 8 years ago, and I still keep the biggest size pants I had. When I get a bad day and start hating my body again, I try them on. A good laugh, and poof! Gone.

And I'm so glad you're thinking about long-term maintenance. That's what it's all about, and you've got the right attitude to make it work. Fantastic work!

That's awesome! I'm about 5'9", active build, started at 255, now down to 248 after three weeks! It's inspiring to see others with similar stats. I'm also planning on very gradually increasing the dose. Thanks for sharing your story!

I saw someone asking about how to maximize their medication pens... apparently the pens are designed to release a certain number of 'clicks,' regardless of the mg dose. So if you're prescribed, say, a 10mg pen but only need 5mg, you could technically get twice as many doses! People are even using insulin syringes to extract every last bit. I'm not sure I'd recommend it without talking to your doctor, though!

Yeah, I've read about the 'click' counting method too. There's even a calculator to help you figure it out.

Apparently you can get an extra dose or two by drawing out the leftovers with a special syringe that minimizes wasted medication. Worth looking into if you're trying to stretch your supply - but definitely do your research first!

Has anyone tried spacing out their doses further than the usual 7 days? I'm feeling pretty good and controlling my eating with a calorie deficit, so I'm wondering if I could safely go 9 or 10 days between doses. My doc says to stick to 7, but I'm curious about others' experiences.

I've heard anecdotally that extending the period between injections can be done, but I think it's important to monitor how your body reacts. If you are tolerating a lower dose and are actively involved in diet and exercise, then it might be feasible, but proceed with caution and keep your doctor in the loop!

I had to stop for a bit due to insurance and gained back 10 pounds in the meantime. Took 3 months to lose it again. When I restarted I went 5mg and bumped 2.5mg every 4 weeks up to 10mg. Sticking there until I plateau for at least 2 months. The losses have been slower but they stick.
