Slow progress is STILL progress!

Hey everyone! So, I've got PCOS and I've been taking Ozempic since around May of this year. I'm also hitting the gym regularly and trying to eat well, but the weight is coming off soooooo slowly. I'm stuck around 190 pounds, and honestly, it's getting hard to keep going. But, I can see a difference in how my body looks, even if the scale isn't moving much. Posting this for anyone else feeling the same way! The change between pic 1 and pic 3 is just under 5 pounds! Trying to stay positive but it's tough when you see all the success stories. Any tips from other slow weight-losers? I guess slow and steady is just my speed 😂

Starting weight: about 210
Current weight: 191

You're not alone! I'm a slow loser too. I think there are more of us than people realize, but the folks who drop weight super fast get all the attention because that's what everyone dreams of, lol!

I've lost around 50 pounds over about 10 months.

I can't believe that is only 5 pounds difference! Clearly, something good is happening even if the scale isn't budging much.

I highly recommend getting a DEXA scan to measure your body composition (muscle vs. fat)! This lets you track your fat loss and muscle gain. From the photos alone, it's pretty clear you've reduced fat and built muscle, which is fantastic!

Taking measurements (bust/waist/hips) can also be helpful. The scale might stay the same, but your measurements could be changing! You're doing great, keep it up! 💪

Bro, I'm not losing anything at all :( I'm on my last dose of 0.5 mg and going up to 1mg on Monday

I also think the Ozempic is doing more than just impacting your weight. I'd bet there's been a change in the amount of visceral fat you have; your stomach wouldn't be so much flatter otherwise. Great job!

I've found that focusing on protein and fiber helps a lot. And don't get discouraged if you have a week (or two!) where the scale doesn't move. It happens! Just keep doing what you're doing.

Thanks! I needed to hear that. It's so easy to get discouraged when you see people dropping weight super fast! I'm trying to remember that everyone's journey is different.

Also, wanted to add... it's not JUST about the number on the scale. Think about how your clothes fit, how much more energy you have, and all the other positives. You're doing amazing!

Just wanna chime in and say not seeing results right away is pretty normal. It can be different for everyone! Really depends on your body type, metabolism, starting weight... all sorts of stuff. Be patient and let the medication do its thing. Just gotta give it time and see what happens!

Yeah, I'm down like 40 pounds in maybe 8 months? But I've hit a wall the last month. Staying super hydrated and making sure I get enough protein is what others have told me to do to get past it. Good luck!
