Slow starter success stories?

Hey everyone, this is for those of you who aren't seeing results right away. Don't give up! I started on this journey back in late winter, so almost a year ago now. At first, I didn't notice much happening. But I realized that increasing my dose, changing my diet, and adding exercise made all the difference. I started hitting the gym regularly around early summer and increased my dosage (currently at 1mg) with my doctor's approval. That's when the weight really started to come off. I went from 198lbs to 155lbs today! Don't get discouraged-- we can do this!

(Sorry for the bad before pic -- I didn't like taking full body photos, hence the work pic!)

That's amazing, almost 45 pounds! I didn't take any 'before' pics, it's just too awkward for me. I'm so glad you understand that it takes effort in addition to the medication. Keep it up!

Thank you for sharing this! I'm progressing very slowly, even with calorie tracking and working out 5 times per week. It's good to know that not everyone loses weight quickly.

Thanks for posting everyone! I'm about to start and terrified that it won't work for me. Y'all are giving me hope lol

How much were you losing each week at first, and how much did you start losing when you picked up the pace? I'm losing about 2 lbs per week on a low dose because a high dose gives me side effects.

Amazing! I'm about to start and I'm at a similar starting weight as you were. If I lose 40+ pounds in 9 months I'll be so happy! I'm sure it's frustrating at times, but you're doing great!

I just read something interesting... apparently scales can give inaccurate readings when the batteries are low! I always assumed they'd just not turn on. Someone online said they thought they'd gained 10 pounds, but it turned out the scale was wrong!

Oh my gosh, that could be my problem! I'm going to change the batteries right now!

I weigh myself every day and track it in an app, but I only record the measurement once a week. That way, I can see how different foods affect me, but I can also see the overall trend.

I only weigh myself once a week, first thing in the morning. If I weigh myself more often, I get too caught up in small fluctuations. It's better for me to look at the big picture!
