Slow & Steady Wins the Race!

Male, 35, somewhere around 5'4
Started at 190, now 157, aiming for 125

Just wanted to check in and give some hope to those of you who aren't seeing rapid changes.

The first pic is from May '25, the second from March '26. It's been almost a year to drop 33 pounds. I'm averaging half a pound to maybe three-quarters a week. Had a fast start, but the last few months have been more like trying to get rid of 2 pounds or so. I was stuck around 25 pounds down for maybe 3 months, then finally things moved a bit.

I wanted to post because it's easy to only see the big success stories and wonder what's wrong if it's not happening fast for you. I kinda thought I'd reached my goal by September '25 but things take time lol.

Even though it's taking longer than I thought, I just feel better and I'm learning to be happy with small wins and appreciate all my body's been through - few surgeries, a bad IUD, underactive thyroid, and adeno.

Still hoping for another 20-30 pounds down the road, but so happy to be feeling good and like myself again.

If things are slow, hang in there! Even small losses add up over time and you'll be able to see how far you've come eventually

Excellent work. These drugs are modern marvels, and your progress is a testament to that. Your dedication also plays a huge role, of course.

I'm not a rapid loser either but down about 28lbs after 17 weeks. I'm roughly a third of the way to my goal, currently 218 after starting at 248, hoping to get to 155. I'm 56yo F, 5'8", and have thyroid issues. My dose is 1mg.

Congrats on your success!

I'm also losing slowly - I've been on this since October of '24 and am down 40 pounds (248 to 207 now). I was annoyed at first, but I'm glad it's been gradual so my body can keep up.

You have a really similar body shape to me. Thanks for sharing encouragement and your journey!
I'm losing slowly but I can feel changes more than I'm seeing them.

I've been stuck at the same weight for three full weeks now.

I've been having heartburn and other stomach issues. I'm barely eating anything.

Maybe this doesn't work for everyone?

Congrats

Still hoping to see about 20-30 come off, but so so grateful to be feeling and looking like myself again.

Your height and starting weight are pretty similar to mine. I was maybe 5lbs heavier. But our body types are so different! I've got a big gut.

Wow, 40 pounds is awesome. I just updated my driver's license after a similar amount of weight loss, its night and day!

Don't get discouraged by plateaus. Make sure you're getting enough protein, staying hydrated, and tracking your calories carefully. Sometimes a small adjustment to your diet or exercise routine can break through a stall.

That's amazing, 167 pounds in 8 months is mind blowing! I definitely didn't lose that fast. You must feel great. Keep it up!
