So nervous to start sema!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Starting during a lot of change at once is harder than ideal, but the nausea concern is the practical one - it typically peaks in week 1-2 at .25mg and settles by week 3 for most.

Sounds like easing in much slower is definitely the move. Had to climb the dose gradually over several weeks myself to dodge the worst side effects, but eventually adjusted and now it's working beautifully.

Ended up starting tonight actually. Picked it up earlier today and figured tomorrow made more sense so I wouldn't feel rough at work, but got too excited waiting. A little nervous about work tomorrow, but I've got a week off right after. Good to know a certain laxative helps with this, since I've already got a lot going on from previous digestive issues.

This can feel like a genuinely intimidating medication to start, given how polarized the opinions around it get and how life-changing it can feel. So of course nerves and anxiety showed up! Completely normal, and you're definitely not alone in that. Solid move being brave enough to actually begin.

Hard to tell sometimes whether a strange sensation is pure anxiety, a little bit medication mixed with anxiety, or purely the medication itself. My guess leans toward mostly anxiety, since we're all hyperaware of our bodies looking for any difference. Try finding something to distract yourself with and definitely still show up to work. Keep in mind most people barely notice anything at the lowest amount, so nothing much might register at first. My own first week had zero side effects or appetite change, honestly would've doubted the medication even got administered if I hadn't watched it happen. Turned out fairly anticlimactic after all that buildup. Just try to keep going about your day to day, treat this like a long haul rather than a sprint, patience is key.

Was terrified going in, had the first prescription sitting in the fridge for months. Just took the second dose yesterday and symptoms have been minimal so far, mostly some constipation.

Had no idea a dissolvable version of that anti-nausea med existed! Adding it to my question list for the next appointment. Thankfully only that first day was really rough for me. Current struggle is forcing myself to eat when literally nothing appeals. Crossing fingers this is just my body adjusting and things ease up next week.
