Splitting my dose?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Congrats, you look great! 10mg was my sweet spot too, now on 5mg to maintain. Day before and after shot I get ravenous but manage with healthy snacks. 69, type 2, been on it since March and planning to stay on it.

Splitting can smooth side effects for some people. Blood levels stay more consistent with twice-weekly. Appetite management tends to even out too. Worth trying if the single dose leaves you rough toward the end.

Splitting 2.5mg to start is a legitimate side effect reduction. The dose gap between 2.5 and 5mg is real - the EU 3x2.4mg protocol addresses the same problem. If 1.25mg is working, escalation timing is the next question.

Splitting helps with tolerance - half one day, half three days later is what most try first. 750 calories is too low; 1200 with protein is the better floor for stable loss.

Extending the interval is the other lever when you want to taper - going from weekly to 10 days to 2 weeks to monthly follows the half-life curve rather than fighting it. Hunger returning is the signal to step back an interval, not to abandon the plan entirely.

Splitting the dose at your current level is worth trying before going any higher if side effects drove the halving in the first place - it can give you the same weekly total with a flatter peak and trough. What dose are you targeting to settle at?

Same thing I'm hoping happens for me! Right now day two just wrecks me, basically a write-off day where I can't get anything done. Fingers crossed splitting the dose smooths that out.

Splitting the dose is also worth considering. Kept me from hitting that rough sixth-day hunger wall. Ran mine every 3.5 days instead. Also naturally slows down how fast you climb the dose. Everyone's different, but that setup worked well for me.

So looking for some feedback here, curious what other people have gone through.

Was running 7.5mg of the Tirz compound but the side effects got rough, so I split it down to 3.75mg per dose.

The first handful of split doses worked great, fewer side effects and hunger stayed under control. Last two doses though feel like they've done absolutely nothing.

Injected last night, felt fine this morning, then by late afternoon today I was ready to eat an entire cow. Had my meal, went back for seconds, kept going until guilt finally kicked in, lol!

Maybe it's time to bump the dose up...

The current plan will probably shift, but they've got me increasing the dose pretty fast right now. Thinking I'll bring this up with my provider and see about holding steady at this lower level since my appetite's basically nonexistent already. If staying low keeps the weight coming off, stepping away from the medication down the line shouldn't be too rough. Planning to continue until roughly another 20 pounds are gone.

Hoping things get easier for you too, and hoping this perspective helps somehow.

Need a bigger calorie deficit going. Would probably raise the dose too honestly, four weeks in myself and just moved to 2.6mg weekly, but I've only got about 20-25 pounds left even though the scale still reads 275. If my remaining goal were bigger I'd definitely be climbing faster.
