Splitting Rybelsus Tablets - bad idea?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has tried cutting their Rybelsus tablets in half? I read that it might make them less effective, or even completely useless. I'm currently on the 7mg dosage, and the nausea is really rough. I know I could talk to my doctor about lowering the dose, but I'm hesitant to waste the 7mg tablets since I'm paying for them myself.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, FoxIRL641. I'm not trying to "save money" or make the pills last longer. I have MCAS, so I always micro-dose myself, with my doctor's approval, to slowly introduce new meds into my system and avoid reactions. I don't even care if the first few pills don't work, I just want to avoid making my body angry, haha!

I'm splitting my 3mg tablets in half because the side effects were too much for me. I'm 3 weeks in and I've lost about 10 pounds. My sister-in-law suggested it, and she lost 70lbs in a year doing the same thing. She eventually increased her dose, but she did it slowly.

I've been following some of the new research on GLP-1 meds, and it's interesting to see the advancements. Has anyone seen the news about the oral version? I saw an article saying the FDA approved the first oral GLP-1 pill. That could be a game changer for a lot of people, especially those who don't like needles!

Oh wow, a pill form of GLP-1? That sounds way easier! I wonder how the side effects compare to the injectable versions? I'm always worried about nausea and other digestive issues.

I saw a discussion with a couple of doctors talking about GLP-1s. They made it clear that these meds aren't just for cosmetic reasons. They are intended for folks with serious weight-related health problems. They mentioned some possible downsides, too, so it's definitely something to consider carefully.

Interesting discussion here. I would advise caution on cutting pills without talking to your doctor or pharmacist. Some meds are designed to release slowly, and cutting them can mess that up. I have been researching GLP-1s and found this interesting article: https://www.novonordisk.com/science/weight-management-medicines/science-behind-glp-1-in-a-pill.html.

Here's what I've learned:
* Talk to your doc before changing your dose.
* Know the risks and benefits.
* Slow and steady wins the race for weight loss.
