Stacking Tirz and Reta - Anyone tried it?

Hey everyone,

It's been a minute since I've been active here. I've been using tirz for quite some time, currently at 15 mg, and my progress has completely stopped for a couple of months.

To get things moving again, instead of just upping my tirz dosage, I'm thinking about adding Reta to the mix. Has anyone done this, or know of anyone who has? I know there aren't any official studies about combining them, but what have you heard from other people? What are the potential dangers? How would you guys approach this in terms of dosage and when to inject?

Thanks!

@Bobby45 How would you recommend switching from tirz to Reta? I'd have to find a buyer for all my tirz if I switched completely, lol

I literally just stopped Tirz and switched to Reta. But I was only on a tiny dose of tirz (2.5 mg) so the transition was really easy. And I'd only been on Tirz alone for less than 60 days.

If you're on a low dose of Tirz, like @Lean_FWIW, you can probably just stop it and start Reta (that's what I did when I was at 2.5 mg). It's been a while, but I think I started Reta at 2 mg each week. If you're on a higher dose of Tirz (say, 7.5 mg or more), taper down slowly and introduce Reta gradually each week. Maybe taper over 4-6 weeks.

I've been curious about this too. Started stacking a few weeks back and honestly the scale just stopped cooperating. Trying to figure out if maybe I need to give it more time or if the combination isn't working. Walking helps keep me moving but the numbers thing has me wondering if I should just pick one. Has anyone else noticed that plateau when they stacked?

Scale stalling while stacking is frustrating. Could be a plateau or the combo needs adjustment. How long have you been running them together?

Thanks everyone, this has been super helpful! I think I'm going to slowly wean off the tirz and start introducing Reta at a low dose like @Bobby45 suggested. I'll keep you all updated!

Seeing tons of research on empagliflozin for heart, kidneys, and longevity that seems close to what metformin does except way kinder to your liver. Metformin destroyed my gut so I can't go back. Wondering if anyone stacks this with semaglutide or tirzepatide and what the experience is like.

Tirz and Reta have partial GLP-1 overlap with complementary GIP and glucagon receptor coverage - the theoretical case for stacking is real, but the combined GI load is the practical ceiling most people find first.
