Sharing where things stand as a newer reta user. Four weeks in now and the scale barely budged, maybe three pounds total this whole time. Feels like constantly restricting myself yet seeing basically nothing to show for it. Started at a low dose, bumping up incrementally every couple weeks, which has eased hunger somewhat. Got started before actually finding this community, so admittedly might not have approached things the smartest way, but hoping someone has genuine advice for actually seeing results on reta. Been reading through past discussions here recently and picked up a few things already, just wanting some direct personal feedback now.

Great to hear it, three weeks into my own reta run, started at 1mg weekly, now sitting a bit above one and a half milligrams, and today marks the first day the food noise has fully gone quiet. Glad I eased in slowly, had a few side effects early on.

People reporting loss right at 0.25 tend to get overrepresented in these discussions honestly. Wouldn't count on seeing real movement in the first ten weeks. Great if it happens, but nothing wrong if it doesn't either.

Four days in and nothing noticeable yet for me. From what I've read, it can apparently take one to four weeks before any effect shows up. Will update again in a few weeks.

Totally get that 4lb feels small when others claim 40lb in the same window. But when it comes to shedding weight, slow and steady genuinely wins out, since fast loss tends to drag along hormonal and metabolic side effects of its own.

Also, curious, would those 4lb have disappeared over two months without reta anyway? Asking because it eventually clicked for me that although the scale didn't move during my six months on reta, it also didn't climb, and I'd been steadily gaining beforehand.

That said, like others pointed out, you're still running a fairly modest amount. I'd hold off rushing the dose up just to chase quicker numbers. Maybe try climbing to 2 mg and holding there for four weeks like the trials did, then reassess from there. Good luck.

Totally relate to this. My expectations shot way up seeing all my friends turn into super responders on Reta, basically off their tirz entirely now. Guess I need to work on patience with myself; my toxic trait is bailing the second something doesn't click instantly or come easy. Really just wanted some encouragement and people to vent to about sticking with this instead of throwing in the towel.
With Reta specifically, I eased into the starting amount slowly because other medications I take already mess with my heart rate. Hoping to push the Reta dose up again sometime this week, since I've been stuck at this same number for half a year regardless of the Tirz.
