Stalled on 15mg for months - is it still worth the money?

Question for the long-haul Mounjaro crowd who eventually stalled: my weight has been flat for a few months on 15 mg, the max dose, and I'm starting to question whether it's worth the cost if the scale isn't moving. My weeks are busy. I lift about four times, do conditioning for hybrid races, run on the treadmill and outside, play pickleball once or twice, golf, and try to keep my steps up. I log my food, keep protein high and stay in a deficit. I know calories still count on this drug, but with that much activity and no higher dose left to try, I'm frustrated.

If this happened to you, did you stay on after the loss stopped, or did you pause, lower the dose, stop, or switch drugs? If you stopped and later restarted, did it work again? And if you rode out a long plateau on 15 mg, did the weight eventually start dropping? I won't change anything without my doctor, mostly I'm after ideas to bring to them.

Coming off Mounjaro, or dropping the diet while off it, will most likely bring the weight back. Just begin and watch how it goes. With time youll probably consider staying on long term, at least thats my view. I began with your mentality, and now i dont expect to cut it anytime soon (over a year on it now). A skipped dose will show you why: the food noise returns within days or weeks!

I've hit several stalls on 15 mg (Mounjaro user since July 2022). What got me moving again: starting HRT (I'm 57, post menopause), adding testosterone, swapping my daily iced latte to a sugar free sweetener, eating a single meal daily, and hill repeats tacked onto my daily hike for high intensity intervals; my next plan is weights. Started at 271, now 145.

That's exactly why most people take these for life. A plateau after big weight loss doesn't mean the drug stopped working, it's what keeps you from regaining. Stop the med and you'll regain. You'll probably do well on mounjaro but remember it only works while you take it.
