Started 2.5mg, no side effects. Working?

I've noticed some interesting changes since starting this med.

It's weird trying to explain to people how often you used to think about food, and how little you do now lol.
Right? I've also found I really don't care about alcohol at all anymore. I used to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, but now I don't even think about it.

Hey @ProteinQueen_90, that's interesting about the alcohol. I had noticed the same thing! It's dialed down my alcohol consumption as well. I guess that's good! I've also noticed I don't crave coffee anymore and I seem to like apples and grapes a lot more.

That's wild about the food cravings @LeanLady! It's like our bodies are changing what they want, or maybe we're finally hearing what they've needed all along? I've also noticed I'm just... happier? More motivated to do stuff? Anyone else?

It's very plausible that the decrease in inflammation is a key outcome. Some researchers studying heart health improvements are finding significant results. They aren't simply looking at weight, but the decrease in systemic inflammation.

Those doses aren't really therapeutic territory and they're not going to touch your food noise much. For me personally it took 7 to 10mg of Tirzepatide to get the same appetite suppression I got from 2.5mg of Semaglutide. I don't have a horse in the race but low dose experience doesn't really tell you much.

I've been on this for about 6 weeks now and yeah, I had some side effects early on but nothing crazy. Yesterday after my dose though, I felt nothing at all. Was wondering if that's normal or if your body just gets used to it sometimes and the side effects just go away?

I'm curious what your take is. You've tried all three, right? Which one do you think wins out when you factor in side effects and cost? I'm trying to figure out what's actually the best option.

Cravings pop up for lots of reasons - it's not foolproof. If your dose was effective before, maybe carbs/sweets are triggering you, or you've hit a plateau, or it's time to raise your dose. Jumping from 7.5 to 10 in just a few days is really aggressive and could cause nasty side effects. At 7.5, you're looking at around 10.5 peak then 5.8 valley between shots. Going up to 10 immediately after will push you toward peaks of 17 or higher.

good call sticking with it. the concentration builds up over weeks, so early days feel good but the real peak takes time. high protein and staying hydrated really does make a difference with those ups and downs
