Starting Reta - First Week Results?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Got more energy at first but hitting some fatigue now - probably not eating enough honestly. Diet made the biggest difference for me, swapping junk carbs for protein and complex stuff. No more afternoon crashes.

Got spooked about side effects so dosed twice weekly and went to e3d as I increased. Didn't want to overdo it. Plan to overshoot eventually and dose once weekly but haven't felt confident with current results yet.

Lost 47 lbs from 242 starting-only husband noticed. Recall from losing weight 10 years back, first 50 is easier. Next 50 tougher. Doc visit next week-she'll be thrilled with results.

Full labs before adding growth hormone or androgens to a stack is the right sequence. IGF-1 and testosterone baselines tell you what the body is actually doing before you add variables. The third or fourth month is also when the initial Reta adaptation has settled, which makes it a cleaner point to assess whether additional compounds are actually needed.

3 lbs in the first week on 2mg is ahead of average. Reta appetite suppression builds over 3-4 weeks rather than hitting immediately - the weight movement usually comes before the hunger control becomes obvious.

10 vials with BAC paired is the right call for a slow titration - not racing through supply at the starting dose. R10 at 6+ weeks per vial is conservative in a good way; the slow ramp gives the GI system time to adjust before hitting the higher doses where Reta's effect compounds.

Within a day response and 23 lbs in 9 weeks starting at 207 is a strong early signal. The OP losing 3 lbs in the first week is right in line with what a good response looks like early. What dose are you planning to move to next?

reta killing the sweet tooth while hunger goes up is the opposite of what most people expect. the sweet tooth piece is what usually gets the most attention but the overall hunger signal can actually climb on reta for some people, especially early. two months in was when the balance shifted for me. stick with it before drawing conclusions.

The once-weekly spacing argument has some logic to it - giving receptor saturation time to clear and resetting sensitivity makes sense mechanically. The problem is the half-life data on retatrutide doesn't map cleanly to semaglutide protocols, so what's true for one doesn't automatically transfer. Worth tracking your hunger signal pattern through the week to see what your personal cycle actually looks like.

0.5mg is the right cautious start and not expecting wild appetite suppression at that level is accurate. 3 lbs in the first week on 2mg is a strong early result - that kind of response at a higher starting dose is what makes people stick with it. Control over dosing is one of the real advantages here.

Reta's the only peptide in the routine, but took the whole thing seriously, diet overhaul included, since it made sticking to changes way easier. Kicked off at a 2mg amount, some mild on-and-off headaches that first week plus a sluggish feeling, fixed mostly by upping water and staying on top of calories. Eight or nine weeks in now, over 25lbs gone, and week by week fat keeps dropping while muscle climbs back (that opening fortnight saw a quick 10-12lb drop that took a real chunk of muscle with it). Glad this route got picked, next step is figuring out a taper-and-maintain exit plan, probably another couple months on reta before that plan actually gets built out.

Well folks, guess talking about it jinxed me because I suddenly FELT SOMETHING this week. Took 12.5mg of Reta on the weekend and followed up midweek with .7mg of Cag, and my heart rate spiked, hasn't done that before, dropped 3 pounds, and food's just not appealing right now. How come? Not sure. Maybe voicing it out loud did something. Or maybe I messed up a dose somewhere. We'll see come next Saturday when I repeat the cycle.

Always seems to line up with cracking open a fresh bottle of bacteriostatic water too, though probably coincidence. Still, quite a shift.

Kicking off week five!

Where things stand:
Height 5'7, woman
All-time heaviest: 221 (had already shed 46 pounds before starting this medication)
Beginning point: 175
Today: 165 (2 pounds lower than last check-in, woo!)
First milestone: 160
Second milestone: 140

Dosing: Injection number five went in yesterday morning, and I raised the amount for the very first time, from 1mg up to 1.5. Hunger pangs had been building over roughly two weeks, which signaled it was probably time for a small bump.
Vitals: Reading 108 over 66, heart rate 54. Hasn't shifted much since day one.
Reactions: Pretty mild across the board, mainly on the day of the shot and the following day I get a touch of lightheadedness and queasiness, nothing severe (outside of the sleep disruption).
Rest: Can't say for sure if this ties to the medication, but I consistently wake up somewhere between 5:30 and 6:30 in the morning, weekends included, which is honestly frustrating. Still exhausted when it happens too, just can't drift back off once I'm up that early. Wondering if my thyroid dose needs adjusting now that my weight's lower. Usually I'd sleep until 9 or 10 on days off, so this is a noticeable change.
Overall impression: Barely able to put into words how thrilling this whole experience has been! There's still a corner of my mind staying guarded, half expecting some hidden downside

So the water weight dropped off, or did it stick around while you still shed another 8 pounds separately? Kicking off Tesa today myself, curious how it goes. Skipping ipa though. Currently just Reta at 2mg every four days, and now adding Tesa, 1mg the first week, bumping to 2mg the week after assuming everything checks out fine.

Alright, day one of week two on good old reta, 2mg.

Starting weight was 278, currently sitting at 273.4, aiming for 160 eventually. 36-year-old woman here.

Appetite's completely gone which honestly is great. Even the idea of food feels unappealing. Need to squeeze in protein somehow, so I packed a handful of high-protein snacks, though this lunch on the schedule sounds downright miserable right now.

Side effects staying mild so far, just a touch of nausea and that's about it.
