I was on 0.5 for around 30 days when starting. Definitely saw results, but the appetite control started lessening near the end of the month. Most people I've talked to stay at each level as long as they're still getting somewhere and losing the weight. When it stops doing anything for a few weeks, that's when they increase it. Though everyone's different. I found the lower doses worked at first, but moving up is where I saw the bigger changes.
