Yeah, water retention right before your period is totally normal. I usually shed a couple kilos after mine comes, even if the scale hadn't moved much leading up to it. The body does weird stuff with hormones.
 
The stage after the initial success is where the real protocol gets tested - easy early momentum is gone and what remains requires more deliberate work.
 
Under 100kg is a real milestone - when you've got 20kg left it tends to come slower, but the metabolic shift is already locked in.
