Stomach bug or just... the meds?

I got through the tail end of a cold and just pinned like normal. Even when I was on the script version I'd do the same thing unless it was a stomach thing, then I'd skip it just so the meds wouldn't make it worse.

The food poisoning vs. medication reaction diagnostic is genuinely hard - both produce the same symptoms and if you ate something questionable in the window before it hit, the timing is suggestive either way. The medication angle is worth considering but ruling out food causes first is the right starting point.

When an actual stomach bug hits while on GLP-1s, skipping or delaying the dose is usually the right call - adding medication-driven GI slowing on top of a viral GI illness makes the recovery harder. Most prescribers will tell you the same thing.

The specific trigger food creating a specific GI consequence is a common pattern on GLP-1 - the extended gastric transit means food irritants that used to pass through quickly now have prolonged contact with the gut lining. Identifying and avoiding the specific trigger beats managing the consequence.
