Stomach cramps and bathroom emergency every time I eat - is this reta or something else?

About a month into pinning reta now, and honestly there hasn't been much noticeable appetite suppression from it. Starting Thursday though, real stomach pain kicks in right after eating, or an immediate dash for the bathroom (apologies if that's oversharing). Nothing unusual was eaten as far as can tell. This actually happened once before too, roughly three weeks back. Not sure if this is even reta related? Like the kind of thing where the body just physically refuses to keep eating? Last pin was Saturday and another one's planned for tonight, but hesitant given how unsettled things feel right now.

Edit: 5'5, 165lbs, pinning 2mg weekly, this was the first week at that amount.

Just starting to layer Reta into my usual Tirz routine. Running 15mg of Tirz on a 6-day cycle for about a year now. Took my first 2mg Reta dose Thursday, feeling a slight bump in appetite suppression, pretty mild, nothing else noticeable yet. Picked up the R10, so trying to line the schedule up around it. If my heart weren't a concern I'd probably jump to 3mg this week then 5 the next, but figured 2, 3, 3 is the more sensible path, so going with that. My wife took the opposite route, bumped up to 20mg of just Tirz, no Reta involved, and honestly I'm a little jealous - she's got the awful burps and can barely eat, just like the early days.

Six months into this, moved up to 1mg on schedule and haven't gone further.

Still shedding roughly 2-3 pounds weekly, consistently.

Never really got strong hunger suppression, still don't. Fullness did hit faster right out of the gate though. That effect fades though, and I could technically eat more within an hour if I wanted to. Would've done exactly that before starting, but now it's simple to just brush it off. Maybe that counts as the appetite control? Hard to say for sure.

Barely dealt with side effects on .25 or .5. Felt queasy one time. Had urgent bathroom trips two or three times during that first six weeks, but it faded out. Once I hit 1mg, constipation showed up and that's been an ongoing fight. Tried nearly everything to sort it out, think I might've landed on something that actually works now. Not fully regular yet, but hopeful the recent routine keeps holding.

Haven't leaned on the medication alone to control what I eat, I track everything carefully instead of coasting. Keeping close tabs on calories and macros against my targets, lifting three times weekly same as you, plus cardio three more days on the off days. Gotten pretty solid about choosing good foods in reasonable amounts.

Made a bunch of lifestyle shifts all together. Cutting calories, upping protein

I'm convinced my GI episode came from what I ate and when: very greasy, very late in the evening, following a day of hardly eating at work. Not a lot, but the mix of type and timing. I adjusted and it never returned. The nausea though is daily whatever I eat, so I suspect I need a slower ramp than standard, maybe dropping to 0.25 again for a bit.

I began when you did, roughly. I climbed to 2 and made myself sick as a dog. Diarrhea, nausea, some puking, the usual side effects, and too much puking for me. Dropped to 1 and now I'm creeping back up in .25 steps every few weeks whenever side effects allow. I'm at 1.75 and doing fine. Trying 2 again week after next. Funny thing: three weeks sick on 2 and then a step down to 1 brought back evening snacking plus extra food noise compared with earlier. I still barely drink. I've lost about 30 pounds, wobbling around this year's goal weight for about six weeks, my A1C is back to normal, my blood pressure fell a lot and I'm on a quarter of my old BP meds. Losing the last 10 pounds would bring me back to my mid-20s weight.
