Subcutaneous Glycine?

I've been getting my trz from a compounding place and they mix it with glycine. It's been working so well that I'm scared to switch. Now that I'm using a different version of trz, I'd like to find a place to get injectable glycine. Any ideas?

The compounding place probably mixes it with glycine to make a 'new' product and try and get around any patents on the Tirz. Glycine is super absorbable when taken orally, so injections aren't really needed unless you're doing some kind of IV drip.

Most allergy products for professionals use glycerine for injections. It's also in those oral immunotherapy drops, because it tastes sweet. The injectable kind is sterile, of course, but it usually comes in big bottles. Don't use the powdered stuff! Also, heads up, glycerine over 10% stings like crazy, which is why allergists and vets water it down to like 5-7%.

You're right, lab-rat-life, glycine is an amino acid and wouldn't really affect GLP-1. They probably just add it to skirt regulations by saying it's a 'unique' formula. Glycerine, on the other hand, can stop fungus and bacteria from growing. I'd still advise against using glycine powder meant to be taken orally, since it's probably not sterile.

There are lots of reasons why I want to keep taking glycine. It's needed for your body to make glutathione, creatine, and collagen. Some studies also say it helps with sleep and even dropping pounds. When I started taking it with my trz dose, I was on the max Ozempic dose and was stuck. I had zero energy and the usual GLP-1 issues. With Trz/glycine, my energy came back and I started losing again with no side effects. Maybe it's just the trz or a placebo, but I feel great, so I don't want to change anything.

I want to strongly advise against injecting any unregulated compounded substances. While glycine itself may have some benefits, combining it with a GLP-1 receptor agonist without proper clinical trials and regulatory oversight poses significant risks. You have no guarantee of sterility, proper dosing, or even the actual ingredients in the compound. Please proceed with extreme caution.

I'm with Jim_Now on this one. Seems kinda risky. Have you tried just taking glycine capsules or something? Might give you the same benefits without the whole 'injecting mystery ingredients' thing.

As a compounding RN, I can tell you that not all compounding pharmacies follow best practices for sterility. It is EXTREMELY important to verify that the pharmacy you are using has up-to-date certifications and follows USP guidelines. Also, as others have stated, injecting non-sterile products can have devastating consequences.

Okay, I hear you all. Maybe I will just stick to the regular Trz. Are there any other things I could add to help with energy? I've been feeling pretty wiped out lately.

I've been reading up on peptides. I was on Ipamorelin/CJC 1295 for a while, and it helped with sleep and energy. But my doc took me off it to focus on getting my TRT dialed in. Apparently, my levels were all over the place. I didn't have any bad side effects when I stopped the peptides though.

Thanks, I might look into that!
