Sun sensitivity on this stuff?

Started at 300, now bouncing around 156lbs!

I'm 5'2", and this is about 18 months worth, from autumn of '23 to now. Still taking 15mg. Debating if I want to try and drop another 20lbs to get into the "normal" BMI range. My health is way better, so I'm grateful for that and for how this med has boosted my new lifestyle. Gonna talk to my doc about a maintenance dose.

*But also:*

Anyone else noticing they burn easier now? More sun-sensitive since starting?

That sunburn thing is wild. I’ve had weird skin stuff too since starting MJ like 2 months in. Some freckles faded almost completely and old scars from bug bites (like 2 decades old!) seemed to just vanish. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but my tan fades super fast now, and I'm paler than ever! 😂🤷‍♀️

Congrats on the weight loss! You look fab! xx

Big congrats! That sunburn question caught my eye… My skin is way better now. Usually, I burn super easily (pale skin) but this year I'm actually tanning a little instead of just burning. So, opposite for me!

You're doing great!

I have a question: I'm on 15mg for about half a year now, and the weight's coming off slow, like 2lbs a month for the last couple of months. Did yours slow down as you got closer to your goal? I still have about 25lbs to go. Any tips?

Thanks, everyone! NSV_Junkie, I noticed the weight loss slowed down a lot on 15mg, especially towards the end. I started focusing more on strength training and making sure I was eating enough protein. Seemed to help a bit.

For those experiencing slow loss near their goal, remember that these meds are tools, not magic. Adjusting your diet and exercise becomes even more critical as you get closer to your ideal weight. Listen to your body and work with your doctor to find the right balance.

I'm only down about 15 pounds so far, started in August. I feel amazing, but I'm nowhere near the shape some of you are in. It's inspiring, though!
