Switching from Sema to Reta - advice?

Currently on 4mg Reta and 9mg Tirz, though testing out swapping Tirz for Sema since it's more affordable, and eventually I'd like to run Reta solo, just want a bit more hunger control first.

My Sema arrives in roughly two hours and I'll take my first dose then. What amount should I begin with? Six days out from my last Tirz shot, so there's still around 7.5 of it circulating in my system.

Leaning toward 1mg but not fully confident. Don't want to start too aggressive and end up with heavy symptoms.

Honestly, the whole reason I stocked up on reta in the first place was expecting tirz to eventually stop working and needing a backup to get me across the finish line. So sure, I'll give reta an actual try, otherwise what was the point of holding onto it. Nothing's set in stone here. Could always circle back toward pairing it up with sema instead if reta doesn't sit right with me. Think 6mg is too aggressive for the very first dose?

If I end up moving to Reta, that's basically my plan too. Getting past the initial Sema dose took forever for me, so I'm not expecting Reta to be any gentler on my system.

1mg of Sema working out great for you is one thing. 12mg of reta falling flat is another story entirely. None of that logically holds together. Full stop.
Test what you're actually using, double-check your mixing math. Report back with results.

You're overanalyzing this without enough to draw solid conclusions from ("seems like the combined ceiling should stay under 15mg"). Dose based on what works, capped by what side effects you can tolerate.

Running 18mg Reta plus .25mg Sema weekly myself. Working out wonderfully. Started on Tirz and transitioned over to Reta, with some overlap during that switch a while back. Last Tirz dose landed mid-March at 2.5mg, while also running 10-11mg Reta at the time.
