Switching from Tirz to Reta?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Some folks who don't get strong enough hunger control from reta end up doing better switching to tirz. Reta failing to fully quiet appetite isn't rare at all.

That's actually why I run both together, keeping each dose modest (1mg tirz plus 2mg reta, same day weekly, sometimes stretched longer depending on how hunger's behaving) and I'm getting steady weight loss with basically no appetite noise (10 pounds this past month, 45 total dating back to when I was only running 1.5 of tirz in January).

Seconding that recommendation. Made the switch after a solid stretch on tirz and had to work up to a fairly high reta amount before feeling anything at all. Currently at a strong amount and losing weight again, might scale back slightly soon.

Running Tirz 7.5 and Reta 3.0, Friday and Tuesday. Once I hit goal I'm not planning to drop either one, each brings something different to the table. Splitting the shots twice weekly really smoothed out the half-life dips with Tirz. Curious what led you to consider dropping Tirz altogether (just asking). Congrats on the progress!

Shed roughly a third of what I started at over twelve months before getting pregnant, first on tirz then reta. Used whatever the lowest clinically effective dose was for me, then climbed once that level stopped doing anything on tirz. For reta I bumped monthly, mostly because appetite suppression just wasn't showing up at any level I tried. Went 1, 2, 4, 8, then held at 8 for a while since I didn't want to push to 12. But if reta does suppress your appetite for you, my suggestion is staying at whatever lowest amount actually gets weight moving, and only climb once that stalls. Goal was losing half my starting weight, and the projection had me getting there around the year-and-a-half mark.

HealthLoss Doing the switch too. My path: several months on 5mg tirz, about to bump to 7.5 as hunger was back. Instead I dropped to 2.5 and added .5 of reta for two weeks, hungry the whole time. Last week 2.5/1mg still hungry. This week reta alone at 2mg and fully satiated so far. If hunger hits on day three I'll take a mid-week 1.25mg tirz. If it waits until day four I'll tough it out to day five and do reta. One more week of this before I think about raising reta and dropping tirz entirely. In hindsight I could've started with 2.5 tirz plus 1mg reta.

Same situation for my wife. In early June, three months back, Reta joined the mix while her Tirz stayed at 15mg once weekly. She's now at 4mg Reta split into two weekly doses after a slow build, and she is steadily shedding weight once more. One note: after each Tirz shot her hunger vanishes entirely for about two days, so we're cutting the Tirz dose beginning this week.

Tell me if you find out... I went the smallest-effective-dose way on tirz. At 5mg I lost 26lbs over 4 months, then stalled, moved to 7.5, still stalled, then a little reta at 1.5 mg got things slowly moving again.

HealthLoss I dropped tirz for Reta directly, then came back to tirz a few months on, since weight fell off yet my appetite stayed loud and the food noise stayed. Reta got titrated to 8mg, and then I jumped right back to tirz at 5mg.

All of it was experimental and I wouldn't tell anyone to copy it. Tirz went up to 15mg. I brought Reta in during month 2 and kept it at 5mg. Once Tirz hit 15mg, I switched emphasis to Reta, cutting Tirz down to 5mg while raising Reta to 12 mg. Honestly my loss chart shows nearly the same pace either way, Tirz-heavy or Reta-heavy. Early bloodwork hinted at fatty liver, so I aimed Reta at that, and it cleared. I liked how Reta burned fat but appetite suppression fell short, so a lower Tirz dose stayed in the mix. To repeat, this was a personal experiment and not a template. Given a redo, I'd run 12mg Reta with 5mg Tirz from the start to goal weight. For maintenance I'm now trying 8mg Reta plus Eloralintide, and finding the right dose is a struggle.

made the switch from 7.5mg tirz over to reta and it went well. glad i did it since reta handled the stalling way better. started by adding 1mg reta for two weeks, then brought tirz down to 5mg while running 2mg reta for another two weeks. after that it was 2.5 tirz with 3mg reta for four weeks, then dropped tirz entirely and settled at 4mg reta. ended up losing another 90 pounds on reta alone over the following 14 months.
