Switching to Reta - dosage Qs

I started with 1.5mg and definitely noticed a difference. Stayed there for about 3 weeks before bumping up to 2mg. It's been 5 weeks total. I like how my body is responding to the lower doses and gradually increasing. Not sure where I'll end up, but I'm excited about this!

I was on 2.5mg of Tirz for 3 months. Switched to 2mg of reta cold turkey and it felt slightly less effective. But after a month, I upped it to 4mg of reta and that did the trick for me.

I started at 0.5mg and didn't feel anything. The next week I increased to 1mg and kinda felt it. Then 1.5mg the following week and it floored me. Couldn't eat much that week without feeling sick. I hadn't tried any GLPs before though. I've since switched to split dosing from 1.5mg and am now at a total of 2mg a week and still seeing weight loss.

I was on Tirzepatide until last week. Used it pretty much the entire month before; my final 2 weeks were at 3mg. Started Retatrutide this week at 2mg and I'm planning on staying at 2mg for this month, maybe going up to 4mg next month if needed. I'm basically following the dosing schedule from the most recent clinical trial.

Side effects-wise, I'm not sleeping as well as I did on Tirzepatide, and I had some very minor nausea this morning because I hadn't eaten yet. I've also noticed I can eat a little more on Reta, which is good because I need to hit a high protein goal daily due to strength training and I was really struggling with that on Tirzepatide.

Has anyone switched to Reta after being on 15mg of MJ? How did it go? Did you start with a lower dose? I'm currently trying out TIRZ and also ordered something to stack with it, but I haven't lost any weight in months, even though I'm doing everything right. I'm thinking maybe it's time to consider switching.

Switching GLP-1s can be tricky. It's always best to consult with your doctor, especially given the varying half-lives and potencies of these medications. A gradual transition is generally recommended to minimize side effects.

I saw a post on another forum where someone said they were on a high dose of Mounjaro for a clinical trial. Said it was like they weren't even diabetic anymore. A1c went way down and they lost a lot of weight. But then their insurance wouldn't cover it after the trial ended, and they gained some weight back on a different med. Sounds rough.

That's a worry of mine, too. What happens if insurance stops covering this stuff? I've dropped about 30 pounds and don't want to gain it all back!

Related to that, on a Reddit thread, someone said they'd dropped like, 60 pounds on Ozempic, stalled, then switched to Mounjaro and lost another 30! Sounds promising for those of us who might plateau.

started with small microdoses to dodge side effects. worked perfect. now i pin 1 mg every three days, keeps a steady saturation. better than the ramp up schedule honestly.
