Telehealth Wegovy?

Novo Nordisk announced they're partnering with telehealth companies like Hims & Hers, Ro, and LifeMD to make Wegovy more accessible now that the shortage is ending.

Hims & Hers stock jumped 23% on the news, and Novo Nordisk's went up 4%.

The idea is to get more people on the official drug now that compounding pharmacies are being restricted. Apparently a lot of people switched to compounded versions when Wegovy was hard to find.

Novo Nordisk is quoted as saying they're happy to be working with telehealth to get more folks onto Wegovy.

Don't forget the subscription fees on top of that! And that price is probably just for the starter dose.

The regulatory situation is getting really tight for the compounding pharmacies. It's changing super fast and they have to stay on top of it.

It looks like Eli Lilly is suing Empower Pharmacy to try and limit access to compounded medications. Empower argues that restricting access isn't in the patient's best interest.

This is frustrating! Seems like every time we find something that works, the big pharma companies try to shut down the alternatives. Affordability should be the main focus!
