Tesamorelin Has A Prescription Label That Says Exactly What It Does And People Still Argue About It

This one frustrates me more than any other peptide discussed here. Tesamorelin is not a gray area research chemical. It was approved under the brand Egrifta for a very specific indication, reduction of excess abdominal fat in patients with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Regulators reviewed actual human efficacy data for that exact outcome, visceral fat reduction, and approved it. When has that ever happened for anything else in your cabinet.

So why does every thread here devolve into whether it works. The interesting controversy is not efficacy. It is this. The approval population was people with HIV on antiretroviral therapy whose fat distribution had been disrupted by their medications. Extrapolating that to healthy bodybuilders chasing localized abdominal fat loss is an assumption, not a fact. The drug reduces visceral adipose tissue in the studied population. Whether it selectively strips belly fat in a lean athlete is a completely different question nobody has answered.

And then there is the growth hormone pulse question. It stimulates GH release through the same hypothalamic pathway your other secretagogues use, which raises the obvious stacking issue. Adding it on top of GHRPs and GHRH analogs is redundant pharmacology that nobody has untangled.

For the people who ran it standalone with bloods. Did you actually notice regional fat change or only overall recomposition consistent with being in a deficit. Be specific. I suspect the honest answers are more boring than the marketing.
