The 'Ozempic Face' Thing?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
started at 265, down to 245, goal is 199. was on low doses for 2 weeks each. had some junk laying around and ate some doritos at 6pm — woke up with the worst gas and bloating for days. thought it was a stomach bug but happened again with the same snack when i tried the doritos once more.

Makes me furious. Think I've got undiagnosed personality stuff but had worst road rage, almost dragged a lady out for cutting me off. Never used to be like that. Also snapped at my husband. Good thing I recognize patterns and triggers now.

The facial volume change is proportional to fat loss rate and baseline adiposity, not medication-specific - any rapid weight loss method produces the same effect.

The ozempic face concern is real but overblown for most people. Facial fat loss happens with any sustained calorie deficit at a certain pace. What tends to get overlooked is the difference between photos at different angles and lighting versus actual structural changes. True volume loss around the cheeks is more common at higher rates of loss over shorter windows - slow and steady loss at lower doses spreads it out. The effect is also less noticeable when protein intake is adequate because muscle tone elsewhere in the face helps.

The whole 'ozempic face' idea isn't really its own phenomenon. I just can't stand that phrase. Any kind of dieting will thin out your face, especially after carrying extra weight for a long stretch. It's simply fat and volume loss showing up wherever the body sheds it from, and it happens with any meaningful weight drop, no matter the method used.

Mm, not quite, honey. Anyone dropping weight too fast or too much risks a gaunt look in the face, regardless of which method got them there. Been on this medication a year myself, lost 40 lbs, and I'd bet money my face still carries more fullness than yours.
