Thinking about GH - thoughts?

Hey all,

About to take the plunge with growth hormone. Wanted to get some opinions before I order.

I'm 36 years old, on 100mg test per week for the last 3 years. I'm looking at GH mostly for better sleep, more pep, sharper mind, and to keep muscle while cutting even more fat.

Context: I went from 350 to 250 lbs without any meds. Started Reta about 2 months ago, now at 230 lbs. I train hard every day but still struggle with low energy and bad sleep. My fitness tracker says my metabolic age is 40.

Haven't looked at IGF-1 yet, but will soon.

I want something with fewer side effects than anabolics, but stronger than something like Ipamorelin and CJC.

Your IGF-1 value really starts to drop after you turn 40. 2iu of GH per day is nice, but you'll only notice your nails growing faster and your hair. 4iu per day does more. Inject in the evening before you go to sleep. IGF-1 is most effective when you are in deep sleep. 2iu is more like a woman's dosage. All the scary stories about organ growth are typically with mega dosages over 10 IU per day, especially with insulin. Also, not recommended if you have had cancer. But if you live a healthy lifestyle and exercise, in combination with testosterone it does great things, especially after 3 months of daily use. I am now on 6 months of use and seeing my body change week by week. Any other questions, let me know.✌️✌️

GH is really better than any growth hormone secretagogue. Stands alone.👌 But this only comes after a few months of use. Better sleep, especially deep sleep, going from an average of one hour to 2 hours 45 minutes. Your skin gets better. Your body stays super lean, even if you eat out. And wellbeing is also great ✌️.

My TRT labs don't include IGF-1, but I'm adding it now. I'm also looking into GH and weighing the pros and cons compared to Tesa/IPA. I'm less worried about cancer risks, but concerned about carpal tunnel, water retention, and joint pain. I'm guessing most side effects are rare at 3-4 IU of GH, but dialing in the right dosage is still a concern. I've read Tesamorelin 2 mg at bedtime plus Ipamorelin 250 mcg three times daily is roughly equivalent to 3.5–4 IU of GH, but who knows. At that point, GH might be easier and cheaper.

Start slowly with 2iu and stay there for 2 weeks. Then you can increase by 1 iu of GH per month. Your age is important because after 40 your GH production decreases by about 4 percent per year. So at 50 it is only half of what it was when you were 21 years old. That's why older people can use more GH without side effects, like water retention, because they are not exceeding their physiological value. If you are still young, a growth hormone secretagogue can give you great results. I'm 53 and currently on 7 iu of GH per day. And now at this dosage I'm starting to experience some side effects, as mentioned above. But I'm also taking testosterone with it, and then you see what GH is capable of after a few months of use.👌👌

This is just my OPINION since you asked.

I think it's smarter to start with things that optimize your body's own systems before simply replacing them. Lifestyle changes, supplements you can buy without a prescription, endogenous stimulators, then replacement therapy.

Look at the data on Tesamorelin. The data shows it to be one of the more effective secretagogues. Plus it has human trial data to the point of approval and use. For me, that’s an important safety thing.

Did you try any lifestyle changes, supplements, or SERMs before jumping to T replacement? If you did, great. It’s not the fastest, but I think it's the best. Straight replacement is fast, but there is a cost beyond price to think about. Opinions are like noses, everybody's got one and they all smell.

Thanks for your input! Lifestyle-wise, I'm already pretty active. I work outside all day, play sports, and lift 4x a week. Sleep is as good as I can get it, diet is pretty clean. Sugar is mostly gone. I've kicked a lot of bad habits including caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, too much of certain online activities, etc. Cut down tv, started reading, meditating and managing stress better. Been on Trt for 3 years & some other meds.

Supplements: Maca, creatine, EAA's, BCAA's, nitric oxide booster, NAC, MCT oil. I usually eat one meal, and I'm not immune to a sweet snack.

Sounds like you’ve done a lot before TRT. I know you said you’re not excited about secretagogues, but I'd still start with Tesamorelin before GH. I hear if you keep GH at 1-2IU per night, the risks decrease. Sometimes the simplest route is best.

I'll check that one out again. I was thinking 1-4iu per day. Want to be careful, but want to use my age and TRT. I've also seen people on GH for a year, stop, and their levels go back to normal with no side effects. And others who take 10+iu daily without sides. Thanks for the questions/opinion.

Not that it'll change your mind, it's a crime to have GH without a prescription. You can be arrested and go to jail for having it. Just saying.

I’ve been on 4IU daily for 2 months. I can say it helps with recovery after workouts.

Sleep? Not so much. I've been a bad sleeper my whole life. If I get 3hrs straight, it’s a win! Usually wake up every 60-120 minutes; I've been using CPAP for 10 years. 7hrs total rest is a gift.

Energy and focus? I have more energy but also lost 60lbs and prioritize protein. I also get 6+ hours of cardio and lift 4-5 days each week.

I recommend it. Add in some bourbon lol.

I just read about some interesting peptide combos. What do you guys think about combining BPC-157 with CJC-1295/Ipamorelin? I saw someone mention their doctor recommended it after a surgery and for low IGF-1.

Never heard of that combo. What's BPC-157 supposed to do? My joints are always a little achy.

BPC-157 is supposed to help with healing, especially tendons and muscles. I seem to recall reading something about TB-500 as well, but I need to look into that further. I remember reading about a potential cancer link with TB-500, which is a big concern.

GH at 36 runs best at lower anti-aging doses - 1-2IU at night avoids blunting the daytime pulse. Most vendors take credit or bank transfer now.
