Tip your PT?

I've never heard of anyone tipping their dentist. It's not normal to tip medical professionals. But patients might give a gift card or bake something during the holidays.

Do trainers fall in the same category as medical professionals? Their business model is different, and they usually aren't counting on tips for income.

I tip my stylist every time, and my massage therapist (but I only go once or twice per year).

Tipping culture in the U.S. is wild. Tipping your mailman?

I worked food delivery in the U.K., and maybe 5% of customers tipped. I was always grateful, but it wasn't expected.

We have better minimum wage laws. It's like £11 per hour even for entry level jobs. I just googled it, and the US federal minimum wage is only $7.25! Even worse for tipped workers at $2.13. That's really bad.

labor laws are third world.

Those of you who have trainers, how often do you see them? Once a week?

I've been seeing my trainer twice a week for a while now. Honestly, it's been great for keeping me consistent and pushing me harder than I would on my own. Plus, having that scheduled appointment each week really helps with accountability.

Good to know! I'm hoping that's what it will do for me too. I need the appointments on the calendar to keep me going. It's so easy to skip a workout when you are on your own. I should have started this months ago!

I saw this video of a woman doing pull-ups after losing 85lbs! That's an awesome achievement. Makes me want to try some!

Went to 7.5 after a long stall and it's been rough—nausea, insomnia, dizzy spells. But I finally broke through. New insurance won't cover it anyway so one shot left. If you're still losing at 5, stay there till you stall a month.

Plateaus happen. not the med or the dose — just your body resetting. also, protein goals matter a lot for loss rates. oh and are kits actually tested thru groups? vendor results alone are sketchy.

Same boat as you — 3 months in and down 22 lbs. Just took my first 7.5 this morning and feel fine. Been having minimal side effects so far so figured I'd try it.

that's basically the lowest dose that works. i'm at 2.5iu now but not pushing till bloodwork. long-term over range isn't healthy. if i can stay under 315 at 4iu i'll do it but looking unlikely. already got water retention and ankle swelling but the fat's melting fast, veins are showing after 6 weeks.

Apple Watches aren't super accurate either. TDEE calcs are just estimates based on how active you say you are — not exact. Plateaus can happen for no reason. You can do everything right and still not lose 0.5 kg per week. Also gets to a point where you can't do 500 cal deficits anymore.
