Tips for upping my sema dose?

Hello! I'm about to increase my dose to 0.5mg soon and would love some pointers!

I had already dropped 60 lbs before starting this journey, and since beginning semaglutide back on November 29th, I've lost another 20 lbs! Feeling great, but also a little overwhelmed.

I'm planning on sticking with the lowest effective dose for as long as possible. Any advice is welcome!

(Also, my face looks totally different. I had corrective jaw surgery last year, so with almost 100lb gone, I barely recognize myself!).

Thanks for posting! Just a reminder that we don't allow discussion of non-approved versions of semaglutide, and no selling is allowed. If you are new, check out the FAQ.

Wow, amazing work! I'm down 55 lbs since mid-June. I've been injecting at night to avoid side effects during the day. So far so good, except for some constipation after my last dose increase. Time for more yogurt and some stool softener, I guess!

Inject at night to minimize daytime side effects. Get plenty of protein to help prevent muscle loss. If you feel the effects waning, try rotating injection sites before increasing your dose. (I switched from my stomach to my upper arm and it seemed to work better!) Also, consider supplements to replace lost nutrients, such as superfood powders.

First off, major congratulations, you look absolutely terrific and I anticipate you'll look even more stunning in the future.

That's pretty wild that you've already shed about 20 pounds in approximately 3 weeks of using semaglutide. Maybe your long-term maintenance dose will only be 0.5, which would be awesome. Your side effects shouldn't get too bad at that level.

I really hope so! I'm a little nervous about going up to the .5 dose, tbh. I'd love to stay at a lower dose if it keeps working.

I started sema a few weeks ago and missed an injection because I forgot. Is that a big deal?

Don't sweat it! Just pick up where you left off. It's not a huge setback.

I just took my second dose of .5 and I don't feel anything different. No appetite suppression really. Is that normal?

Don't get discouraged! It works differently for everyone. Some people don't feel it until they get to 1mg. Just keep going!
