Tired after upping Tirz dose - anyone else?

I'm three months into using tirzepatide, and just bumped up to 7.5mg weekly. Before this, minimal side effects. But since the increase, I'm dealing with major fatigue and feeling sleepy all day. Anyone else experience this at the same dosage?

Could it be the higher dose? Trying to decide if I should lower it, wait it out, or add something else to combat this. I've already dropped about 22 pounds, but want to lose another 33 pounds or so. Any advice?

Did you increase because the lower dose stopped working, or just to follow the schedule? If the earlier dose was doing the job, maybe dial it back or find a middle ground. Some users, like myself, find that dosing every 5 days helps. I upped my dose by 0.5-1mg at a time and dodged most issues.

Had the same fatigue issue the first few months on semaglutide. It did eventually disappear. Walks were tough at first, but felt rejuvenated about 15 mins into it.

It fades for most people, from what I hear.

Are you supplementing with B vitamins? Many suggest B12, but I use a general B complex with a multivitamin, and it seems to help! Anyway, your problems definitely seem to be the increased dose, as FoxIMO mentioned tweaking the dose could be the way to go. But remember vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and hydration are important too!

Dumb question, but which day do you count as "day 1"? I inject before bed. My brain (AuDHD) says the day I inject is day zero, and the next evening is day 1. Just curious how others calculate this.

Also... OMG the fatigue. Took my first tirz dose from CN last night before bed. I was previously using compounded with B12. I'm EXHAUSTED this morning. Zero motivation (kidding...sort of). Sourcing B12 ASAP

Not dumb, it's a good question. 5-day schedules can get confusing since you’re constantly shifting the day of the week.

Just a heads up, kits4less.com had a good deal on lyophilized B vitamins in a 10-pack kit.

New vendor, but decent reviews on the steroid forums.

I think of it as the day after is day 1 done... makes sense since on a standard schedule you dose every 7 days. So if you inject on Sunday: Mon-1, Tue-2, Wed-3, Thu-4, Fri-5, Sat-6, Sun-7 :)

Because I use a shorter schedule, I put it in my Google calendar as an all-day event with a notification. Like, Tirz (10mg 25units). My phone tells me the dose, so if I change the amount, I just edit that entry and tell it to apply to ALL future entries.

Totally could be the higher dose. I have the same, plus stomach issues and on/off chills.

I'm thinking of adding B12 as well. If you were losing on the lower dose, no rush to increase. Each increase raises the risk of side effects 😉

I definitely had fewer chills and less exhaustion on the compounded stuff with B12. Now I'm just waiting for my B12 to arrive so I can stop feeling like an ice cube.

Do you remember the blend details on the compounded B12?

I mentioned B12 to my PCP but it didn't seem to get anywhere. So when I find the time I might just write my own script from PepOhioPrivateScripts (©️™️ 😉) and order some.

I can relate to the fatigue! I expected the usual nausea and stomach stuff on Mounjaro, but honestly, the fatigue is killer. I'm constantly drained and can barely do anything other than lie around. Anyone else dealing with this level of exhaustion?

Yup. Since I started this med I feel like I need to lay down ALL THE TIME.

I had some really rough weeks initially with fatigue. Now I make it through the day without napping, even though day 2-3 after the injection are still rough. Hopefully you will feel energized soon! 🙏🏻

Second week in. First week on 2.5 was fine, just some fatigue on day 2. This week I have no appetite, indigestion and nausea. Today I am clammy all day and feel off.
