Tirz end-game strats?

Approaching my target weight...people are saying I'm getting too thin, going by looks, not BMI. What's the smartest way to taper off Tirzepatide? Any advice is welcome!

Ignore anyone who tells you you're too skinny! If YOU feel you need to gain, reduce the dose gradually, increase protein intake, and lift weights.

I've stayed on the dose that got me here. My appetite is up, and I want sweets again, but it's nothing like before. I've held steady for 9 months. I'm scared to lower it, or I'll binge. #lifetimemeds

Yeah, my husband said something similar when I mentioned wanting to get to around 122 pounds.

He said, “You’ve never been that small! You’ve never been under 125 since we met.”

I pulled up my health history on my phone…boom. I love tech!

I was as low as 118 in the past 15 years. I was 124 before chemo for breast cancer. Those meds caused inflammation and insulin resistance. I blew up to 165, my highest in 20 years.

I’m 5’4” and petite. So, we know our bodies better than anyone else. As long as we're healthy and our doctors aren't worried, we're good.

I'm close to my goal of 175. I'm at 183, down from 265. 6-foot tall male. I'm on 15 mg tirz. I'll stay at this dose for a couple of months. I will step down if I gain weight. Long-term, I'd love to transition to metformin. One of the best parts of using our suppliers is not having to ask a gatekeeper for permission to use whatever medication that we find appropriate.

Bravo!! Not just on the success, but recognizing the empowerment that comes from managing our health without needing permission. I was recently denied a script for an antiviral by my PCP. Found an alternative myself. Here’s to healthy living!

I found this study: https://www.epicresearch.org/articl...or-continue-weight-loss-after-stopping-glp-1s

Read about the "epigenetic memory of fat cells," and how your body tries to return to its old weight. I plan to stay on for 6+ months AFTER reaching my goal, tapering down slowly. Lots of folks regain weight they lost on Sema. I'm okay with pinning long-term.

Awesome article, @HeartCoffee! I never really thought about what happens after TZ. I figured I'd pin something every once in a while, but this gives me hope that I can do it without that. Thanks for the positivity!!!

I hear you. Maybe try focusing on adding in more protein and fiber at each meal? That might help keep you full and prevent cravings without having to change your dosage.

It's inspiring to see so many success stories! A person on Reddit said they got off Ozempic in November and have kept the weight off since. It sounds like it is possible to maintain it long term.

Done peptides and too many to overdo and hurt yourself. Tirz you could dose wrong, hospital. Read couples cases VIP reddit BP tanked bad day ER visit.

Never anybody's gonna call me 'reveal' with tirz. Been shouting on Facebook and work from day one, yellin I'm on skinny shots basically. Wasn't gonna be a talk-show lady though, that'd end in tears.
