Tirz every 6 days?

Hey everyone,

My wife is on 2.5mg of Tirzepatide weekly. However, she's noticing increased hunger pangs near the end of the week. I'm on a 6-day rotation for Retatrutide and it's working well. Has anyone tried shortening the Tirz interval to 6 days to combat late-week hunger? She doesn't really wanna increase to 5mg since she is happy with her current weight loss, but wants to reduce food noise.

Yeah, 6 days is totally fine. Some even do it every 5 days. Or, split the dose -- half every 3.5 days. That keeps the cravings away for me.

Check out https://glp1plotter.com/. It helps show how much is theoretically in your system when you use different intervals. It can help you adjust the amount to stay at the levels you want.

My doc explained that Tirz reaches its peak effectiveness a few days after injection, then it's about half as effective around day five. The ramp-up time is the variable. The weekly dose is just what works for most people. I'm at 12.5mg and sometimes give myself a little bump of 3-4mg on day 4 or 5. I had a long stall and was thinking maybe a 5 day schedule would help, but my doc seemed to think that's not needed. Just sharing my experince.

I suspect the weekly schedule is more about making it easy for patients than maximizing the drug's half-life.

Personally, five days sounds good, but wouldn't work for my life. I travel a lot for work, and lugging meds would be annoying. I also want max coverage on weekends when I'm more likely to cheat. Plus, I'm bad at remembering meds even with reminders. A once-a-month shot would be amazing!

When I started at 2.5mg, I felt it immediately... maybe it was placebo, who knows. As I went up, it felt more like a curve, peaking around day 3 and lasting a couple of days. My doc let me titrate based on how I felt. It's been a journey. I hit a stall and seem kind of resistant, so micro-dosing wasn't considered for me. But everyone's different. Listen to your body... and try to seperate physical hunger from emotions, which is hard, since our guts connect right to our brains! Merry Christmas!

I did 20mg of Tirz every 5 days for about 3 months, no major issues. I was moving from 7 to 6 to 5 days as it felt like the effects faded. Now I'm at my weight goal and use 2.5mg of Mazdutide along with 10mg of Tirz/week for maintenance.

Before I switched to gray market, my compounding pharmacy gave me 16.5mg per week. You're right, 15mg is Lilly's max recommended dose.

I took my starting dose every 6 days, and I stayed on that schedule until I got up to around 5 mg. Then I stopped craving food right before my next shot, so I switched to 7 days.

I dose every 3.5 days, Thursday mornings and Sunday nights. This keeps my serum levels consistent, and it helps me avoid nausea, constipation, and fatigue.
