Tirz to Reta - Anyone else?

Just looking for some thoughts. Is it possible I got ahold of a weaker batch?

On Tirzepatide, I dropped around 28 pounds, and I didn't even take huge doses. By the end, I was doing 5mg/week. It really helped with my appetite, stopped food cravings, and even curbed my beer intake (I could only drink a couple of beers).

I switched to Retatrutide. I started at 3mg weekly. After about a month, I increased to 6mg. My weight hasn't changed. I've had more energy and have been exercising, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Has anyone else experienced this when switching from Tirzepatide?

I'm wondering if there's an issue with the peptide. The supplier was responsive, and they have a good reputation, so I doubt that's the problem.

Any thoughts?

I was using 12.5mg of tirz for a year and hit a wall after losing about 80lbs. I switched to Reta at 5mg and actually gained 2lbs after about 3 weeks. I didn't notice any appetite reduction. I titrated up to 7mg and still had very little suppression. I added .5mg of cagri, and the suppression came back and I lost the 2 lbs that first week. I'm not sure how I feel about Reta. I'm losing weight, but it's going slowly, like .5 to 1lb on a good week.

What made you decide to switch?

I used tirz for a little over 2 years, and I was at the max 15mg for most of that time before I stopped at the end of last year because I stalled for over 2 months.

I took about 3 months off and started reta this past April. I increased my dose quickly, since it wasn't working for me. On my fourth dose, I tried 12mg. That's when I found the magic again. I knew that what I had was good, so I just had to find the dose that would work for me.

Basically, keep increasing your dose until you see results.

What's Cagri? I actually have a lot more energy on Reta. The blood sugar-lowering effects from Tirz made me tired. But, that might happen with this stuff when I increase the dose.

That makes sense. I think I'll go up to 8mg. It seems like if you're on a mid dose of T, you need a mid dose of R.

Is it usually suggested to take a break when changing peptides? I'm planning to switch from tirz to reta soon. I haven't maxed out tirz yet, I am at 7.5mg, but reta is sounding better. Thanks.

I've ready that tirz is stronger than sema... is that true? A friend started after me and she is doing great with tirz.

For most people, it seems to be more effective with fewer side effects, but some people do better on sema than tirz, and vice versa.

I didn't take a break, but maybe I should have? I'm not a medical professional, so don't take my word for it.

It's interesting how differently people respond. I know someone who did better on sema. I guess it depends on your body.
