Tirzep: energy UP after eating?

Anyone else on Tirz experience, like, a surge of energy after they eat? I'm talking for maybe half an hour to an hour and a half afterwards, I'm buzzing. Before, I'd always feel sluggish post-meal. Is this a common thing?

Some folks eat until they're satiated, others until they need a couch nap. I used to fall into the latter camp, sometimes eating just because I was bored. I have noticed I don't get that food coma anymore since starting this and reducing overall calories.

It's a NSV for sure. :)

Other typical Non-Scale Victories include:

* Clothes fitting more comfortably
* Greater vitality
* Better quality sleep
* Elevated mood and self-esteem
* Increased ease doing physical activities
* Less pain
* Improved bloodwork (e.g., BP, blood glucose)

I've felt more energetic in general since starting as well. I'll have to pay attention and see if there's a correlation to my meals.

I think it's awesome that you and others are feeling more energetic on tirz. I've actually felt a bit more tired, but it's been worth it for me. Tirz has helped me in so many ways. Please keep us updated! That info is really valuable. Thanks!

Maybe it means I was eating stuff that didn't agree with me before. Similar energy boost to when I was doing a potato-only diet e.g. slimemouldtimemould.com

It could also be that your body is absorbing nutrients better now that your digestion is slowing down. I've noticed I don't crave junk nearly as much. My fridge used to be packed with takeout containers, now it's mostly condiments and protein shakes!

I'm just starting GLP-1s this month... do i NEED a bunch of supplements? Like, all those TikToks pushing $200 worth of powders and stuff? I know protein and fiber are important but can't I get that from regular food?

No, absolutely not. Focus on getting your nutrients from whole foods first. Only add supplements if you actually have a deficiency. GLP-1 headaches are often from dehydration, so electrolytes can help with that, but you can make your own drinks instead of buying expensive powders.
