Tirzepatide + Anavar + TRT: worth it?

I ran across a strategy that looks pretty intense for dropping fat while keeping muscle. It's basically a combo of tirzepatide (a GLP-1/GIP thing), low-dose anavar, TRT, plus the usual stuff like high protein, creatine, and lifting weights. The article I read emphasizes getting regular bloodwork and DEXA scans to stay safe. Anyone tried anything like this?

Sounds like a pretty comprehensive, albeit aggressive, approach. The tirzepatide handles the fat loss by hitting both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, apparently leading to better results than just GLP-1 drugs. The anavar and TRT are there to counteract muscle loss during the calorie deficit. Key points are:

Tirzepatide: Start low (2.5mg) and slowly increase to 10-15mg. Watch for nausea.
Anavar: Low dose to preserve muscle.
TRT: Keep T levels in the normal range.
Protein: Aim for at least 1.6 g/kg per day.
Creatine: 5g daily.
Resistance Training: 3x per week.

Seems like medical supervision is a must, especially with the anavar.

I've done similar cycles in the past, though not with tirzepatide. The anavar definitely helps preserve muscle during a cut, but you need to watch your cholesterol. TRT is a must, as Charlie_18 said, to offset the suppression from the anavar. Bloodwork every few months is non-negotiable.

Wow, this sounds intense! I'm just starting my weight loss journey. Is all that stuff really necessary? Can't you just lose weight with diet and exercise?

As Charlie_18 and ReconFree pointed out, this is an advanced protocol with potential risks. Diet and exercise should always be the foundation. These medications are adjunctive therapies that can accelerate results but require careful monitoring and management. Not everyone is a candidate, and the risk/benefit ratio needs to be carefully considered.

I'm on TRT already. Thinking about adding in tirzepatide. This gives me some good ideas on maximizing the effect. Thanks!

I've been on TRT for years and added anavar during cuts. It's effective, but the sides can be a pain. My HDL always tanks, even with low doses. Gotta stay on top of it. I'm curious about tirzepatide... might be a safer alternative for fat loss.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. It sounds like the anavar is the real wildcard here, with the cholesterol issues. Maybe tirzepatide + TRT + optimized diet/training is the sweet spot for most guys?

Good point, BostonMike_79. The benefits of anavar might not outweigh the risks for everyone. The tirzepatide/TRT combo, along with a solid diet and workout plan, could be a more sustainable and healthier approach for long-term fat loss and muscle preservation.

I'm intrigued by the mention of creatine. Isn't that primarily for strength and power? How does it help with muscle retention during a cut?

Creatine helps maintain muscle hydration and ATP production, which can prevent muscle breakdown during caloric restriction. It also supports strength and power output, allowing you to maintain intensity during workouts, further signaling your body to preserve muscle mass.

I've heard some people find digestive enzymes helpful, Wild_AF, especially with the initial titration. Also splitting doses can help. For example, if you are aiming for 10mg per week, try 5mg every 3-4 days. It can help keep the side effects more manageable.

So, I saw a guy on Reddit who lost a TON of weight... said he focused on running, biking, swimming, and lifting, plus a buttload of protein. I'm talking serious protein, especially since he's vegan. He said he kept his muscle mass while shedding fat. Sounds like diet is really key.

Wow, that's inspiring! I'm also trying to eat more protein, but it's hard to come up with meal ideas that aren't boring. Any suggestions?

know exactly what you mean about cravings. with sema and tirz both it's like an inner tickle that won't stop until you give in. and then when it's gone there's no dopamine rush so you feel empty. anyone got a fix for that?

dropped weight quicker on one brand, like 1kg/month. the other took 3 months to kick in, but after 6 months i looked way thinner. stuck with it bc it's cheaper for me, and the results keep coming.

Not saying others should do this but I'm stacking sema with a little of the other one for inflammation and appetite control. Sema's cheap so I'll keep it until it stops working. I'm at 1mg sema plus 1mg of the other weekly, sometimes an extra 0.5 of the second one if I'm hungry. Moving up slow, not trying to win a race.
