Tirzepatide: Dilution Q's

60mg vial: higher concentration, smaller draws. Solubility at that concentration is worth checking before mixing.

Currently at 10mg weekly on Tirz, probably heading up to 12.5 then 15mg eventually. Curious, with 60mg vials, what's the ideal amount of BAC to mix in? 2ml or 3ml? Anyone have experience working with those specific vials?

Got some tirz at 60mg and reta at 20mg sitting around, thinking about blending the two.
If I mixed 1.5ml of bac into each, then combined everything into a separate 3ml vial, working through the math, 30 units on the syringe should land around 2mg Reta plus 6mg Tirz.
Did I work that out correctly?

Looking closer, those read as 100mg vials. Might run a bit concentrated at only 3ml total. Worth diluting further with another 3ml of bacteriostatic water.

Used to have a calculator bookmarked that helped figure out how much diluent to mix into a freeze-dried vial of the fifth compound. Can't locate it anymore. Anyone able to point me toward something similar? Appreciate any help, ann

Not once you get into bigger vials where your draw amounts grow too. Most people need a reconstitution calculator at that scale. For example, I run 8 mg drawing 43 units. Working with a 50mg vial that fills to 56mg. I mix in 3ml of diluent and pull 43 units to land exactly on 8mg. I've got the fifth compound spanning several strengths, plenty of the higher-concentration ones too. All vials hold 3ml.

I start with the 3ml vial the product ships in, add 3ml BAC there first, then pour that over into a 10ml vial where I do the full recon. Simple.

Same here, from R40 through R140. Normally the math is simple: a 30mg vial gets 3ml BAC and I pin whatever my dose is. Other times I mix the BAC amount depending on my dose versus the milligrams in the vial so each shot is nearly full and the vial ends up empty. If that makes sense.

I've gone as low as .5ml bac. The 60mg vials are still 3ml vials. My problem below 10 units is accuracy, I use pens & feel below ten may not be precise. I use honestly enough bac water to stay above 10, but I like to stay under 40 because of how much fluid I'm injecting. Personal preferences.

With a 30mg vial mixed with 2ml you get 15mg per ml, so 5mg is a third of a ml. Mix with 3ml and you get 10mg per ml, so 5mg is half a ml, or 50 units. Pick the water amount that gives the easiest dose math. For you, 3ml gives cleaner and more accurate draws than a repeating decimal.
