Tirzepatide stopped working?

I had really good results with tirzepatide at 2.5-5 mg. Then I decided to try a longer fast. After injecting tirzepatide, I fasted for 60 hours. It was OK because of the hunger suppression, but my body felt awful (back and joint pain). After that, tirzepatide just doesn't seem as effective. My stomach feels full, but my brain wants to eat. It's like something got broken. Even after going up to 10 mg, nothing changed. Any advice? Maybe retatrutide?

Fasting shouldn't make a difference. I fasted for 72 hours and wasn't any hungrier afterwards. I kept losing weight. How long have you been stuck?

If you're not having bad side effects, don't just accept a long stall. Increase your dose to 12.5 mg, and also rethink your diet and exercise.

Is your appetite just stronger, or have you also stopped losing any weight? If it's hunger, maybe add a little sema or cagrilintide each week. If you've stopped losing, you might need to switch to retatrutide.

Try drinking a lot of water for a week, and eating a lot of protein. Start each meal with protein. Eat pre-planned, small meals instead of waiting to feel hungry... maybe more than three meals a day.

Also, no more fasting! Retatrutide often suppresses appetite less than tirzepatide, so it might not be the best choice.

I've heard of people having success by doing the opposite of increasing the dose.

Yeah, increase the dose if your side effects are minimal. If 15mg doesn't work, think about stacking it with Cagri.
Maybe try halving your dose for a week or two, then going back to normal. Someone said it worked for them, and jump-started their weight loss after a stall!

That's interesting! I've also heard that changing your injection site can sometimes help get things moving again. Like, if you've always used your arm, try your stomach.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I also have very little energy to move now, much less exercise. I can barely eat 1000 calories a day but I have no strength. Maybe I should try to eat more?

Yes, absolutely try to eat more! 1000 calories is way too low, especially if you're trying to exercise at all. Your body might be holding onto weight because it thinks it's starving.

Increased perspiration at 8mg is consistent with improved metabolic rate - the thermogenic effect becomes more noticeable as the weight drops. A 60-hour fast mid-protocol can shift dose response; the body recalibrates to a different baseline.
