Titration Troubles & Tolerance?

Hey everyone, I'm curious about others' titration experiences. I feel like maybe I sped through the dose increases because I was so focused on losing weight ASAP. I followed the standard month increase plan. Now I'm on 15mg with only about 8 more pounds I'd like to lose. I'm wondering if it's safe to go higher than 15mg if needed, or should I just stick with it? Also, has anyone tried taking a break from Tirz to let their body reset, maybe using other peptides in the meantime? Thoughts?

I've heard of people going up to 25mg, since there are studies looking at that dosage. No one can say what is safe for you though. Also, the idea that you can just take a break to reset your tolerance is just false. There's no real evidence that you can build a tolerance to GLP-1s, at least according to research. And about the "standard 4 week schedule" -- it's not for clinical practice. It's for studies and it's a tradeoff between time in study and minimal dropout.

Thanks for the info! I didn't know that about the titration schedule. When I was on prescription Mounjaro, that's what I was told to do, so I figured it was the "right" way to do it. Good to know I can be more flexible!

Based on your intro post, your BMI's around 22.4, which is in the healthy range. Maybe stick with the 15 mg weekly and focus on improving your body composition? Or... switch to reta just for fun? Though, switching to reta could cause some weight gain at first, especially if you don't stack it. Some people dose tirz every 5 days. You could try 12 mg every 5 days, which equates to about 16.8 mg a week. Or 11.5 mg every five days (16.1 mg weekly). Since you're already at a healthy weight, I'd start cautiously with 11.5 mg every five days.

I'm really curious about Reta, but since Tirz works so well for me and I have no side effects, it feels risky to switch to something else. I might just have to try it eventually though. I guess I just don't like how high my Tirz dose is getting. But it seems like there aren't really any downsides to higher doses other than cost. I've lost a little more weight (BMI is 22 @ 136lb now). Some days I'm hungrier and want to eat more, so a 5-day schedule sounds good. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Just a reminder, folks, that any dosage adjustments should be discussed with your healthcare provider. While anecdotal experiences can be helpful, they don't replace professional medical advice. Factors like individual metabolism, other medications, and pre-existing conditions can all affect how you respond to GLP-1 agonists.

I'm curious about those kwikpens because I keep seeing posts about getting extra doses out of them. Has anyone had experience with this? I was reading this one thread that mentioned a 'golden dose' that you can extract with an insulin syringe. Has anyone tried that?

Hey size-me-down, yes! People are getting extra doses from the Kwikpens! It's all about counting the clicks. I saw someone mention that they stick to really low doses so they can make the pen last longer. Said they were on 6mg and got prescribed the 10mg pen so they could save a bit of money.

That's super smart! I might have to try that. I'm only on 5mg right now, but I'm prescribed 7.5. So I could technically stretch it out and save some money.

Just be super careful with sterility when extracting doses. Use sterile needles and syringes, and make sure to clean the injection site properly to avoid any infections. I would not suggest pre-filling syringes and storing them; draw up and inject immediately.

This is all really interesting size-me-down and FTW! I'm always looking for ways to save money! Another thing I'm curious about is maintenance. Has anyone successfully maintained their weight loss after stopping their GLP-1? I'm always worried about regaining the weight.

I saw a post a while back from someone who stayed on a really low dose for a long time. Like 0.5mg for a year, and then even lower at 0.25mg! They said they were hoping it would be easier to sustain that way. I'm thinking that's the key – slow and steady.

I think you're right. Slow and steady wins the race. I saw a study of like, 20,000 people who had been off Ozempic for a year. 56% maintained their weight loss!

went from 255 down to 207, then leaned out more. was injecting twice a week and the weight just fell off. tried timing my doses around meals for better control, and it's been game-changing for how i look and feel. sitting around 235 now.

they confirmed the inventory sheets were identical when people asked. saw it in the warehouse thread. also saw warnings about fake accounts using hpt reports to scam. stay sharp out there.

honestly if you're feeling great and losing at that pace with zero side effects, stay at 2.5. slow titration exists for a reason. I was on compounded and my provider let me sit at 5mg for 2 months because I was still losing. if you're trending right there's no rule you have to chase higher.

Replace Ipa, Tesa, DSIP with HGH. For sleep, plain melatonin works best for me even as a chronic insomniac. Drop Wolverine — redundant. If injury doesn't improve after one round of KLOW, try Wolverine at higher dose. Wouldn't stay on R30 if pinning only 2mg a week. Vial lasts 15 weeks unless you're titrating up. Can't say what to add without knowing goals, but I like leaner routines — costs add up.
