Two Years, A New Me!

Even though I've been stuck around the same weight since October when I lost my mother, I'm still down over 200 pounds overall. It's been hard getting back on track, but I feel like a different person now. The first picture is from a father/daughter event in early 2023 (about 650 pounds). The other one is from last month (around 450 pounds)! Feeling good about it!

Huge difference! It's clear that your daughter needs to lose weight as well. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, and childhood obesity can have long-term consequences.
It's a difficult position, but you should seek some guidance from a pediatrician with expertise in nutrition. I wish my parents would have been more aware of my weight when I was younger, but it's never too late to start! Keep fighting and my condolences for the loss of your mother.

I'm very sorry for your loss, but I'm happy you're feeling better! I'm sure your mother would be extremely proud of what you accomplished. Keep it up!

My weight loss journey has had its ups and downs. I once weighed over 1000 pounds! I've dropped about 550 pounds since my highest weight, but since I started on Mounjaro, I've lost over 200 pounds in the last couple of years.

You look amazing. Good work!!! Keep it up. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom would be very proud of you!! Looking great!!!!!

Incredible transformation! In the before photo, it looks difficult to even stand. Now you're standing with ease. Daddy/Daughter dances are so special...my father passed away too young, so I never had that experience. I'm sorry for your loss.

Grief requires patience. I'm happy to hear you're starting to feel better. Be proud of what you've done; your mother would be. Those we hold in our hearts are never really gone 😊

My sincere condolences for your loss. Hopefully, things will improve with time. Grief is a personal journey with no set timeline. Focus on taking care of yourself. You've done an incredible job losing the weight. Losing both parents in a little over a year was very hard. Watching their health decline was so stressful, and it made my eating habits and exercise routine worse. My numbers went up, as did my weight, blood pressure, and drinking. Since starting Mounjaro, I've noticed a big drop in my desire for alcohol and food. I'm encouraged…as you said, starting to feel the light again. Thanks for posting…it helps to know others understand.

I read a post about someone getting off their meds after losing a good amount of weight. I hope they keep it off. They said that changing their eating and lifestyle gave them a much better chance of keeping the weight off. I hope that's true!

Been here two years, hit new me milestone. Totally reorganized life around weight maintenance. Was top priority above everything. One stranger saying I'm genuinely proud.

Good news is that muscle you lose while dieting is way easier to get back than the first time you built it. There's still discussion about exactly why but studies show muscle memory is real and rebuilding takes way less work than initial gains even after a long break.
