I started sema in the middle of last October. I was at my heaviest, around 418lbs, back in July. Tried dieting, lost about 30lbs by myself, but it started to come back so I knew I needed more support. I responded really well at first. For nearly 3 months I had no major stomach issues, just some constipation. Christmas morning changed all that - awful vomiting, crazy diarrhea, and cramps! Couldn't be with my kids all morning. Turns out, it was Cholecystitis. Had my gallbladder removed. I was off the sema for about 14 days before getting back on, and the GI issues seemed even worse, just popping up outta nowhere every day. At first, I thought it was my body dealing with no gallbladder, but nothing helped. Sulphur burps and explosive diarrhea became my daily special.
This went on until I really listened to folks here and started eating smaller, more often, and much slower. Since then, my GI stuff has almost totally gone away, and the weight continues to drop, just a bit slower.
Started at 417.4, now at 295.4, lost 122lbs total, 97lbs since starting Sema, current dose 1.5mg (been on that for a couple months) My goal is 250. I'm 6'4" for reference. I appreciate all the info I have gotten from groups like this!
