Upping my dose - nervous!

Switching from oral to injectable at similar dose equivalents is where most people get confused about the numbers. The formulations have different bioavailability so the pen dose feeling different doesn't mean you're getting less - it means the delivery is more consistent. The nervousness is normal and usually resolves within the first injection.

Moving from 1mg to 2mg after a year feels like a bigger jump than expected - the body adjusted to 1mg but 2mg often feels like a reset. Nausea tends to be the main effect in the first 1-2 weeks and usually settles faster than it did initially. Staying well hydrated and keeping meals small on injection day helps a lot.

The A1C coming down on 1mg before the weight moved is an important distinction - the metabolic benefits and the weight loss response don't always track together. For a lot of people the 2mg level is where the weight piece finally kicks in after the glycemic control was already happening.
