Vial mg - How to Know?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking around, but can't seem to find a clear answer (maybe my search terms are off).

Basically, how do you figure out the actual mg in each vial you get? I know the label might say 30mg, but the test results often show a different amount, and it varies from vial to vial. So, how do you dose accurately? Do you measure it somehow, or just assume it's close to the COAs from past tests?

Sorry if this has been covered before. Thanks!

It's probably best to avoid suppliers where the amounts vary a lot between vials from the same batch. Slight differences are expected and probably not a big deal, like if you're off by 0.15mg or so.

If that test result is legit, like from a group buy or something I personally submitted, I'd average it out and dose as if it's 33mg.

If the seller posted the test, it might be the best result they got from maybe many vials. Or it could be a test from a totally different batch or tied to certain promos.

I've always been in groups where we send a few vials in for testing. I usually take the average of those results and use that in my calculations. So, in your case, I'd likely use 33 or 34 if that COA came from the group buy.

I've been on Ozempic for about a year and a half now and recently discussed increasing my dose with my doctor. He was hesitant to bump me from 1mg to 2mg right away because of possible side effects. Has anyone had experience with this?

Hey BurnBoss, I've seen some patients who have trouble jumping straight from 1mg to 2mg. Some doctors recommend a gradual increase to minimize side effects. You could ask about going to 1.5mg for a few weeks first, or even splitting the 2mg dose into two smaller doses per week.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll talk to my doctor about that. I'm a little worried about the food noise coming back if I don't get a high enough dose.

For those of you titrating up, are you counting clicks or using a syringe? I've been using click counts but I'm exploring if using a syringe for more accuracy is better.

I've always just counted clicks, and it seems accurate enough for me. I probably wouldn't bother with a syringe unless you're trying to get a super precise dose. I think the click count for a 2mg pen is 74 clicks for the full dose, so 37 clicks would be 1mg.
