Vial sourcing nightmare!

G'day folks, finding it a right pain to get my hands on sterile empty vials here in Oz.

Got a few questions for ya:

Where do y'all get your vials from?
Do they need to be vacuum sealed?
Is that online marketplace from China reliable?
Do people seal their own vials?
What's the diff between the different cap types, flip off and tear off?

I've got a whole box of 10 just sitting here! Been trying to figure out why I even ordered them. I usually just get everything I need from online pharmacies.

The lab tested a few different ones from different sellers on a big online marketplace and they tested sterile. Pretty sure they were all from that brand that starts with a 'K'.

That's not entirely accurate. I have seen tests done on vials from that 'K' brand that passed USP <71> standards. I was a donor for that testing, so it wasn't just a single positive.

Cheers for the replies, all.

Those places you posted seem cheap, but the postage costs makes it way more pricey.

Being in Australia is awesome for avoiding nuclear war, but not for getting sterile vials, haha.

They still haven't got the right certifications. They may be sterile *now*, but it's not a guaranteed thing.

That's true, what happened before isn't a 100% guarantee of the future.

But you've shifted the goal posts to ISO certs, when you originally said "those on the big online stores aren't even sterile". That's wrong about the ones from Amazon, as has been shown.

They aren't properly sterilized and that's true, the fact they are sterile is pretty amazing to me.

They only use steam sterilization, this isn't really the *right* way. It's more of a home canning thing.
