So if I don't lose much in the first month that doesn't mean it's not working? I'm 218 lbs starting and hoping for at least 10 lbs in the first 2 months. Trying to manage expectations 😅

One small addition: the 15% average weight loss number is just that — an average. In the pivotal trials, there were participants who lost over 20% of body weight, which starts approaching lower-range surgical outcomes.

Also worth emphasizing that continuation beyond one year maintained losses in many subjects, provided therapy was not discontinued.

On the gym topic — I stayed at 1.7 mg for 3 extra months because 2.4 crushed my appetite so hard I couldn't hit protein. Once I backed down, my lifts came back and I kept losing steadily.

I would just add that anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 should avoid GLP-1 receptor agonists. Also monitor for gallbladder symptoms with rapid weight loss (pain under right rib, nausea after fatty meals).

Down 32 lbs in 6 months here 🙋‍♂️

Can confirm gym days felt weird once I moved up in dose. I started doing a protein shake first thing in the morning before coffee and it helped a ton.

Also lol at the cost section. $499 still hurts but it's better than what I was quoted last year.
