Weight Gain on 'Generic' Semaglutide?

Hey all,

I was doing great on brand-name Ozempic for a long while, then switched over to a research peptide source after my supply dried up. Everything was fine. Then *that* source went belly up. I found a new one that seemed legit, after reading comments here, but now the scale is creeping up. I've gained about 12 pounds, even after upping the dosage for a couple of weeks. Anything suspicious I should consider?

Has anyone else experienced problems with similar situations? Any insights would be appreciated.

Generally speaking, it's best to stick with sources that provide recent testing results. Ideally, you'd want to see independent verification by multiple customers too. Have you reviewed the vendor discussion areas? You can often find user experiences and testing info there.

I'm editing out supplier names from newer accounts. We've been having some issues with shills. If you stick around, contribute constructively, your recs will be safe.

It could take a month or so to reach therapeutic levels again, depending on how long the subject was off. So, the weight gain may not be from the new vendor at all. Some suppliers also slightly overfill vials, while others don't. Testing reports can give you fill level data. It's concerning how quickly the weight came back on though for anyone thinking of stopping.

I've only tried a couple of suppliers and both were really good. Not the cheapest, but great reputations and lots of test reports. I suggest getting the Telegram app and checking out the vendor section here for their Telegram links. A lot have testing groups there too. Good luck!

Thanks Sam_93, that's a good point about it maybe taking a while to build up again. I was hoping it wouldn't take that long but maybe I just need to be patient. I'll keep that in mind.

I've had some good experiences with compounding pharmacies for peptides. I've been using CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin from a Texas pharmacy, and the quality has been consistent. Something to consider if you can find a reputable one in your area. Just be aware some pharmacies can only fill prescriptions in their own state.

That's a good point. Compounding pharmacies can be a solid option, but always verify their licensing and quality control procedures. Make sure they do independent testing.

I read about some people having problems with sema from online sources. Some said it didn't work at all! Gave me pause...

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm still not sure what to think. Maybe it's just taking longer to build up like Sam_93 said, or maybe the source really isn't good. I'll keep monitoring and see if things improve.
