Metformin add-on has some evidence behind it - worth asking the prescriber. Starting from an already-clean diet is a harder baseline: the easy early drops from cutting junk aren't available to you.
Lost about 5kg in my first month then stalled, junk food still had a grip on me. The proper loss didnt begin until 6 to 8 months later, and in between I put on 6kg and took it off again.
During months 1 through 3 I dropped roughly 17 lbs, from 230 to 213 at week 12. Now I'm at 208, 4.5 months in, and it slowed down a lot. Most people lose fastest early on.
A plateau means four weeks or more with no loss even though you're doing everything right, and yes nearly everyone hits one at some point. Your first couple weeks probably had a lot of water weight dropping off, while your body keeps adjusting. Stay the course and hopefully the numbers drop again soon
Week one I dropped 5 pounds, week two 2, then I regained and relost through the remainder of the month. Month two was a total yo-yo, ending around six or seven pounds down. In month three I am losing slowly and steadily. Wait and see, change nothing, odd stuff happens at the start. I would only start worrying if you kept losing at that pace, which is unlikely, especially without bad side effects.
