The numbers showed people averaging a 15 to 25% drop in body weight. A handful of hyper-responders exist, but the majority of folks I'm aware of using this medication, myself included, lost a meaningful amount without getting anywhere close to our supposed 'ideal' BMI. Over four years I've dropped between 55 and 70 pounds (it fluctuates) and shifted from class three obesity down to class two. So still solidly in the obese category, would need roughly another 55 pounds gone to reach overweight status.
Progress stalled a bit past the one-year mark. Over the last couple years I've regained somewhere around 10 to 15 pounds here and there, and getting back to my lowest point takes real effort each time that happens. Could probably push for more loss, but it'd demand more consistency than I can realistically maintain, so these days I'm channeling energy into lifting and cardiovascular fitness instead. Got serious about that three months back, and while further loss would be a bonus, focusing on strength and overall fitness has genuinely taken pressure off the number on the scale. Would love to be 50 pounds lighter and 'looking better,' but I'm not putting life on hold waiting for that. All that to say, ma
