What do you eat on the tough days?

When you're feeling queasy from these meds and struggling to eat, what actually goes down easily? Do you have go-to foods, or do you simply miss meals?

I lean on protein shakes, supplements, yogurt, crackers, a spoonful of peanut butter, some cheese, or a protein bar. Bland things work best.

I had a rough day yesterday with zero appetite after a morning workout. I need to keep my protein intake up or I'll be totally wiped by evening.

Broth, rice, and protein shakes are what I eat. Oddly, if I feel nauseous, something sweet like a single piece of chocolate or a small cookie usually makes it disappear. I wonder if it has to do with blood sugar?

Crackers... just a couple, and my nausea fades. I stash them everywhere now – car, work, my bag. It's like being pregnant all over again! 😉

I'm currently in the thick of it, and it's awful. I've been sticking to the BRAT diet – Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast.

Mostly applesauce, though, or a little bit of savory spread on some whole wheat toast.

I'm struggling to eat enough in general and dealing with major fatigue.

I go for cold chocolate-flavored supplements that I order online. Sometimes carrot sticks with dip, or peanut candies. It just depends, since my normal cravings are often gone.

For the past several months, I’ve been going to the store and seeing what sounds good. One week it was oranges, another it was boxed mac and cheese. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Good luck! As much as I like the weight loss, I miss my favorite foods. 😢😢

I just started around 2 weeks ago, and I feel okay. Should I expect to feel sick as the dosage increases?

I just skip eating when I feel bad. I have enough stored energy on my body anyway.

I hear you, but I really try *not* to skip meals. Even a little something is better than nothing. I'm afraid if I skip, my energy will crash.

I've seen people going super low calorie on these meds, like 1000 calories a day. That seems way too low to me long term.

Agreed. Very tough to sustain that. You'll likely lose muscle mass and feel terrible. I aim for at least 1500, focusing on protein and nutrient-dense foods.

I've been experimenting with Greek yogurt for breakfast. It's quick and easy, and you can mix in some fruit or sugar-free pudding mix for flavor.

That sounds good! I think I will try that. I've only been having a shake, but I'm getting bored of it.
