When did you REALLY feel the effects?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The belly-versus-alternative injection site debate is ongoing. Consistency with a site that works is usually more important than chasing the most comfortable spot for most people.

Flushing and nausea from MT-1 is consistent - the melanocortin pathway hits the vascular system harder than most people expect. Some people find the response dose-dependent enough that going sub-100mcg avoids the flush, but tolerance for that usually isn't worth the trial if 250mcg already ruled it out.

Reduce-not-eliminate is the accurate read. Most people describe it as hunger volume turning down, not off. The timing on that shift varies a lot.

The two-day fatigue window after injection is very common, especially early on. It usually shortens as the body adjusts to the cycle.

Week 2 at 4mg is early for the full effect - most people report the clearest signal between weeks 3-5. The reduced appetite at lunch and dinner is already ahead of the usual timeline.

At 4mg the effect tends to accumulate over the first two to three weeks rather than landing as a single moment - the 'always feeling it even before the next dose' is the signal that it's built to a steady state, which usually takes a full month at any given dose.

Claudia_Way's situation makes a lot of sense. Still managing blood sugar even when the weight side stalls means it is doing two jobs at once even if only one feels obvious day to day. Frustrating but still useful is an honest way to frame it.

Week two at 4mg is usually the beginning of the suppression window, not the peak of it - most people notice the effect becoming consistent between weeks 3 and 6 as the receptor saturation builds.

the 1mg week with nothing happening and then 1.5 clicking in at week 5 is the delayed onset pattern that catches a lot of people before they'd stop. week 2 of 4mg already feeling the hunger decrease is a much faster response than what a lot of people report. the building-up phase is different for everyone.

Feeling something by day 2 but it's the 'not in the mood' change rather than hunger going away is exactly how a lot of people describe the early Reta effect. It's more subtle than expecting all hunger to disappear. Week 2 of 4mg will give you a better baseline than day 4. It builds over time.

Just moved my dose up to 5mg. Spent around three months on 2.5 first. Barely any side effects besides light constipation, but only dropped roughly 8 pounds at that level. Two weeks into 5mg now and still not much in the way of side effects, though the hunger difference is honestly night and day. Normally mornings I'm ravenous without fail. Yesterday I glanced at breakfast and just thought, nah, maybe later, lol. Still ate lunch eventually, though hunger never really showed up.

Second week into a 4mg amount now, and appetite suppression's noticeably more intense compared to the smaller doses I ran before. Used to get mild cravings a couple days after each shot. Now it's the whole week where forcing myself to eat becomes necessary. Didn't even climb aggressively either, just went up a milligram every three weeks. Planning to hold here as long as it keeps working this way. Looking like the sweet spot for me so far.

Just kicked off week two of 5 mg. That first week didn't feel like much changed, honestly hunger and mental food noise felt worse by midweek than they had on 2.5 mg. Then almost overnight after the second shot, hunger just vanished.

Nothing bothering me at all this round, quite different from that opening stretch on 2.5 mg, where my stomach gave me constant trouble.

We'll see how the coming three weeks play out, though my gut says I'd tell my doctor staying right here at 5 sounds like the plan.

Didn't notice real appetite suppression until reaching a fairly high weekly amount. Strong sugar cravings hit hard early on too, apparently a pretty common experience.

Sitting at a moderate dose for nine weeks now, tenth week starting today. No real side effects to speak of, aside from a couple odd skin reactions that were probably unrelated, and honestly feeling great overall. The effect hit harder at the start, could barely manage food those opening couple weeks, but hunger's become more frequent again lately. The upside though, those intense cravings just aren't there anymore. Makes it much easier to steer toward healthier, lower calorie choices.

Still eat out occasionally, still grab frozen meals sometimes, and the weight keeps coming off regardless. Sometimes I track calories closely, sometimes I don't bother. Progress speeds up and slows down in cycles.

Lost a solid chunk of weight over two months, with most of it coming in the earlier stretch. Honestly though, comparing to what works for someone else barely matters, what counts is how your own body responds, and the variation between people is wild enough that there's really no predicting it.
