Why so much hate?

I finally got the nerve to share my before and after pics from losing weight. It was really hard to show the 'before' me because I was so embarrassed at how big I'd gotten. Most people were so nice and encouraging, but a few were just awful! They were commenting about how different I look and making fun of the lip injections I got (I thought they'd help my face look better after losing weight, but no lol). My main goal was to improve my health and fix my back problems, looking better was just an added bonus. Can't we all just be kind? We should be building each other up and helping each other out. We're all trying to make our lives better, and it's not easy! Shouldn't that encourage kindness instead of making fun of people? We all know how much words can hurt :(

Screw them. If you're feeling good, that's all that matters. Being happy, healthy, and mentally sound should be your only goals. If you can say yes to all of those, who cares what some idiots think?

OMG are you the blonde who posted before? Block those accounts and keep going, you look FANTASTIC and the lip filler looks gorgeous!!! Congrats beautiful!!!

You said it yourself, the majority of people were supportive. Don't get caught up on the people who weren't.

You look amazing & you're so inspiring! I'm starting my GLP-1 treatment in a couple of weeks, and your post got me so excited :) Thank you!

I saw that post and gave it a like! I thought you were just fooling around taking selfies. Forget about anyone who tries to bring you down x

Girl, you're gorgeous. You've done so well. Congrats! Don't listen to the haters.

I posted before/afters yesterday but I blurred out my face. You're braver than me!

Yes, I posted a before and after and people were so mean. I just deleted the post. I haven't been able to drop any weight for many years and I was excited to finally share my progress. :(

People are just unhappy, and they act like bullies behind a keyboard. One negative comment is meaningless compared to the 20 nice ones.

I'm sorry some people have no compassion. Try not to listen to the negative comments. It's difficult, but it's best for you. Be proud of your success.

People are just jealous, sweetie. You look fabulous and your progress shows how hard you've worked to get to this point!!

A lot of Ozempic users seem to think it's some kind of miracle drug and that the weight is just supposed to disappear while they keep taking it, and then they get frustrated when they stop losing weight... they don't understand that it's just a TOOL to help you start the lifestyle changes you need to make to get the results you want!!!

Keep up the amazing work and rock that bod with confidence! You deserve it

I totally agree with Wild_Set -- it's disheartening to see people expecting instant results without effort. GLP-1s are amazing tools but they aren't magic. You still need to put in the work! Keep shining, everyone!

I saw someone on another thread saying they started getting anxiety after starting semaglutide and some other peps. Anyone else experience that?

I've felt a bit on edge lately and the only new thing I've added is sema, but I'm only at a tiny dose.

I get occasional anxiety too, Reta-Cake and I'm not on sema; maybe just the stress of everything? I try to just ignore it and focus on the positives. I am so glad I decided to lose a little weight. I feel so much better. I feel happy and that is what matters.

It is certainly possible that semaglutide could contribute to anxiety in some individuals, Reta-Cake. While not a commonly reported side effect, individual reactions to medications can vary. If the anxiety is persistent or significantly impacting your quality of life, it would be best to discuss this with your healthcare provider. They can assess the situation and determine if the semaglutide is a contributing factor and recommend alternative approaches or management strategies.
